Well one of Solas' quests don't trigger right?  So we don't know what it entails. It could have something to learning more about the orb.  Maybe there's one that it doesn't break.  (I can dream that there's one Solas doesn't leave.  >.>)

It's what I've heard. His third quest doesn't trigger. I don't remember getting it.  I think people were saying it triggers after finding 10 of the orbs in the world.

Are you talking about the one that's supposed to trigger after you collect all the elven artifacts? I thought I read on some other thread people who had done that one.

They said it ended with you having an even bigger rift to go close. Tho I don't know if they just read that in the guide or knew from experience.

 

I'm "going for completionist*" in my first playthrough right now (went back to before the final battle) and was going to try and collect them all to see if I could get that quest to trigger.

 

Not really related, but it is just horrible wandering around the game with Solas in your party after he dumps you. I keep accidentally bumping into him and be like "god, why?!?!?"

 

*really means "going till i get dorian and bull to hook up" so it really depends on how long it takes for that banter to trigger...

I have a second Lavellan playthrough on the go too and he doesn't seem to be looking after her as well as he did Atisha, I'm guessing he's lovesick...I imagine him growling "You're not her"

I don't know,I got that one on my Cullen romance playthrough and Solas almost always approved of my choices,maybe the one with The white wolf is his romance card?

The worst was last night I was fighting a dragon in the hissing wastes, and was getting my butt kicked. Solas died at one point and I had to go res him and I was like, "waaaa Solas, no!!!" and simultaneously "I should leave you dead!"

 

And then at the end of the fight everyone died except Solas, so I was just running around as Solas being like, "noooooo! too much Solas!!!!"

It is very complicated! 

It's so interesting though. I really hope they can continue the story in a DLC/Expansion! That cliffhanger is no bueno~ I didn't even romance Solas but I'm invested in this no joke. I cannot put myself through the romance, it will hit me hard. Like I need some sort of resolution like the Blackwall romance. I mean you get heartache along the way but you can get a better resolution, Solas' on the other hand....*sad panda face*

 

You may be making the right choice, but despite the pain, it was still worth it for me.

Im pretty tempted to put that choice in my story just to show Solas that ppl can change. Cahnge is not always corruption, even if you liked things they were before and so on.

It seems to be what Cole wanted, even though I disliked disagreeing with Solas, since we had become good friends (and he used the elven term 'Lethallin' to greet me).

The scene where Lavellan takes Cole to eat was nice, especially when he laughed and was happy to realize he wouldn't lose his friend if he changed, and made me feel like I made the right choice. Cole was also estatic when Corypheus couldn't bind him.

The two cards you get for Solas seem to be directly opposed. I am not an expert on tarot, so someone might be able to do a better explanation than I. But essentially, the tower demands change, often destructively. The hierophant encourages one to stay the course, and honor tradition.

 

I don't think it is a coincidence that Solas's main struggle in the game is to either change the mistake he made in the past, or live with it. 

White wolf=Hierophant;

The Hierophant can also represent group activities and beliefs, and in either case, support of the establishment and respect for the rules are emphasized. So if you are planning something revolutionary, the repeated appearance of the Hierophant is a good sign to forget such action and go with the flow for the time being. The traditional way of doing things must work most of the time, or else it wouldn't have been around long enough to become tradition! However, when an idea is proven wrong it is certainly time for a change. The true Hierophant is one who has a deep respect for his beliefs, but who will not blindly follow them to his own ruin.

Black wolf=Tower;

Sometimes, when accepted and welcomed, divine wisdom and enlightenment flow freely like a calm river. The rest of the time, wisdom is blocked until it rages forth like a tidal wave and crushes anything in its path, including the recipient of the wisdom. This is the energy of the Tower card, an energy very similar to Death in that it is both a destructive and a creative force. When a building is old and decrepit, it must be demolished so that a new structure may stand in its place. The same is true of the symbolic Tower. When old attitudes and beliefs are outdated, you will have to let go of them, whether you like it or not.

So its Tower if hes mad at the Inquisitor and Hierophant if hes romanced? or do you get the white wolf just for doing his personal quest/high approval ?

 

Ermit, then Hierophant or Tower... thats all change and knowledge related tarot cards no?

Approves: Exposing Florianne, Morrigan drinks the well, executing what's-his-face from the Warden quest. I have the guide which has a list of the major ones, but not with me. I remember these ones though.

You get approval from Solas for helping the average citizen, asking him questions, recruiting the mages, and not acting like @$%^& about the Dalish being better than anyone else.

 

Disapproval usually relates to Grey Warden or Templar quests, interacting with others in a manner that might be seen as cruel or oppressive, playing the evil route and beginning to act like you really the "Herald of Andrast" .. I have also gotten disapproval for supporting Vivienne on her pro-Circle quests

Huh... I can't edit my post. Might need to double check that execution one actually. I might be mis-remembering. Basically everyone approved though. The other two I'm sure of.
