I certainly don't mind his age, but it kinda worries me that they won't make him an LI because he's "too old"

I'm not bothered one bit by how old Solas turned out to be, I was planning on making my inquisitor around her early twenties (not sure about that anymore though, I'll have to see) but he doesn't look like that at all, he looks so young!

isn't Cassandra going to be in her early forties? and shes going to be a romance (although I can't really remember). There is no way that forties makes an old man/woman. Please Bioware people still have desires and are desirable in their forties, don't leave him out

She's close, but not necessarily in her forties. 21 years passed between DotS and DAI, but she seemed fairly young in the anime, around 15-17.

Huh, so he and Blackwall are up there in age huh? 'Kids these days' speech. Well, I could see that with Sera, and possibly Cole. However, I believe most of the characters in Inquisition are up there in age. I think someone in the Cassandra thread, or possibly the old romance thread, figured (though timeline math in the World of Thedas book) that she was in her early 40s in Inquisition and she's a romance option. (EDIT: Which one of you stated above) Guess that also means the 'old man Solas' pic with the dwarven Inquisitor woman wasn't too far-fetched.

Originally my Inquisitor was going to be early 20's, but now I'm thinking more late 20's early 30's. Would be interesting if Solas was a romance, and part of it would be accepting his age. (If Inquisitor is young)

Yep. In terms of romances I would say Bioware wouldn't count out people in their 40s if they were able to implement it into his character. The real question is whether or not his character (how he views things, what he wants, priorities, etc.) would allow for a romance, not his age. I would say age is only but a number in terms of romance possibilities, but I would be wrong because you know...Cole.

I am in my mid 40's, so I wouldn't have any problem with his age. Unfortunately, that does make me a bit wary on whether he will even be an LI. I will try not to be too pessimistic though. If they are trying to be so inclusive, this time around with races and sexualities, then why not age as well.

For people who don't feel like clicking it's Mike Laidlaw saying that Leliana's eyes on some of the screens were a bug.

 

Edit: Maybe Solas' was too. If so I wonder what his real eye color is...

I'm leaning toward the second one... maybe that's just my hope though.  Then again, we can already speculate that Cullen is going to be the awkward/shy type, at least at first, so I think Solas would be handled differently.  Also there is the fact that while he has spent a lot of time alone, I get the feeling he's also met a lot of different types of people in his travels, so he might not be as inexperienced as we might initially believe.  I'm pretty sure he's had his fair share of desire demons trying to tempt him as well.  It could be that he'd be pretty matter-of-fact when it comes to things related to sex, even if relationships are something he's new at.  I do like the mysterious types that leaves you guessing though,,, we really haven't had a male LI like that before.  It'd be a welcome change.

 

Also, I just finished reading The Stolen Throne (took me a long time to get through the first few chapters, but then it picked up around chapter 5 or so and I just couldn't put it down - finished it in a day) and seeing the lineup of characters he wrote in ME - and I have to say if anyone could pull something like that off well it'd be Patrick Weekes.  I'm pretty impressed by his ability to write characters.
