Those dreads in the concept art *melts*. He seems to be pretty aware of how people him and others - he just doesn't concern himself with it too much. I wonder what ancient elvhen fashion looked like? It'd be cool if we could fade-dreamwalk into one of his ancient memories. We've traveled to the future, so why not the past...?

I'm headcanoning that in Solas's hot-blooded youth (as he calls it) he was like a super snazzy dresser. Like an elf nobleman. But after everything he sorta tempered out and adopted the apostate hobo look when he was humbled by, um, EVERYTHING? I love his woodsman look (thanks Dorian) with the fur and the jammies and he is my absolute perfect hobo boyfriend who is ~above~ such petty concerns as fashion BUT WHAT IF HE WASN'T ALWAYS THAY WAY.
