I'm happy that Solas is a little bit older. The more I hear of him the more I'm hoping that he is an LI. It's weird because this hasn't happened to me earlier. Anyway I don't remember that there had been older LIs in ME and DA series so I think it would be about time!

I'm 21 too and admire the older gent from afar!

However, if Solas is a LI, the only way I won't feel weird about romancing someone who is nearer to my parents' ages is to role play the whole elves-regaining-their-immortality-so-what's-50-years-to-me? angle of it

I don't know how to feel about his age personally i wish they had made it a bit more generalizedXD;;; but unfortunately i don't think any male character that will be a romance is young, cause IB is probably late 30's as well, possibly 40's. So instead of brooding over this for myself, it'll be "screw age, I just can't wait to hear more about IB and Solas"XD (cause like another commenter solas is closer to my fathers age, not mineXD;;"

Solas sounds interesting. I know I'm going to disagre with him on absolutely everything except that things are always more complicated than they seem but that's part of the appeal.

The age range for your Inquisitor can be somewhere between 21-40. It depends. Not sure how old mine will be though.

Honestly, Iron Bull looks older to me and I see him as a fling type character as opposed to a long term romance. I mean, he still reports to the and believes in the Qun which is fairly strict about couplings in order to better the Qun. Breeding program type stuff. Unless I got that wrong which is possible. 

 

Anyway, as someone in their early forties, I have no issues with romancing Solas. I agree, it would be nice to have a  player character a bit older for a change.

Judging by his eyebrows, I think his hair is brown.

Actually, (if I'm not mistaken) Thane was around forty during the events of Mass Effect 2. And he was a green space alien. If the ladies (and fellas) aren't put off by any of that, I don't see why they'd be put off by a handsome older elf like Solas. ;b

I'm in my late 20's, so it doesn't bother me too much personally but I can see and understand why it would others. I'm kind of happy that the general age for companions in Inquisition is a tad bit older (Varric/Cass/Cullen/Leli are all in their mid to late 30's I believe) and we have Solas in his 40's and maybe Blackwall in his 40's as well. It's a nice contrast I think since older characters are pretty underrepresented in a lot of games. Just my opinion though

To me he looks like he's in his 20's to mid 30's.. Hmm, it seems I suck at age estimating.

I really hope we get a character kit for him, I wish to see him up close for.. science? Yeah, science.
