Well.

 

Now that I know about all the stuff I missed by not bringing Solas to the ball, and Weekes' comment about if they slept together being up to the player...I feel like Solas and my Lavellan had a more normal relationship than my playthrough showed.

 

It's gonna take me awhile to wrap my headcannon around this. I like the idea that it doesn't have to just be stolen kisses hear and there, with him always being like, "we shouldn't do this," all the time. But it's kind of blown my mind that they could have had some "normal" moments.

 

I love imagining them having normal moments together. Which probably happened a lot because you always have to fill in the gaps in BioWare romances. No way their entire relationship came down to three kiss scenes! 

 

I always imagine my Inquisitor chilling out in Solas's room and watching him paint whenever she has down time.

Ooohh do you get a quest where you go out looking for him? I hope so... I am going through withdrawal now. I just... can't.. I even loaded the game prior to the end so that way I can do all the remaining/existing quests with him in my party.. lol.

I have a question about the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts plot quest.

I'm trying to roleplay as a cynical Dalish elf. She hates this song and dance with nobility and is, unsurprisingly, losing a lot of favour with the court. I think she's at about 10? I don't want to know what happens if it goes down to 0 but are there very serious consequences for going down this route that will affect me greatly later on?

It essentially ends the game and takes you to the load screen... you have to redo it. Yeah I started off with around 20 and I ended up getting 100 and the achievement that goes with it! It is possible, you can do it

I'm one who must see all possible outcomes. My canon is what I think tells the best story. Initially, it was AmellxMorrigan/magexAnders, but giving thought to DalishxMorrigan.

So, one of the things I've really been missing in this game is romance specific party banter. I think there's some, but it's pretty spread out. I love having Solas in the party and sometimes his casting gets pretty funny. So, I was running around the storm coast and this banter just popped into my head. I figured I'd share. Snippy, over-protective Solas is my favorite, especially when other party members tease him.

 

My brain may also be addled by sleep deprivation.

 

For reference, my Lavellan is a snarky mage, a knight enchanter, and accident prone. She fade steps off a lot of cliffs. Solas has noticed.

Solas: Yes?

Blackwall: In that last fight, I, uh, noticed that you've got a preference for dropping a barrier around Lavellan first.

Solas: She is our Inquisitor, is she not? She carries the mark and we cannot close the rifts without her.

Blackwall: It's just... she's a mage.

Solas: A fine one.

Blackwall: Right, and she's more than capable of casting barrier herself.

Varric: He's got a point, Chuckles.

Blackwall: Look, I'm not saying stop. I'm just asking for it to be spread around a little more.

Varric: Preferably before one of us gets skewered.

Lavellan: I appreciate the gesture, Hahren, but I could do with a few less coming my way.

Solas: I will consider it.

 

Solas: Da'len?

Lavellan: Yes, Hahren?

Solas: We need to discuss your use of fade step.

Lavellan: Now? We're a little busy.

Solas: It is not pressing. I can wait until our return to Skyhold.

Lavellan: Oh... What's wrong with my fade step?

Solas: Nothing! Your control is masterful, your timing impeccable, I merely...

Lavellan: What?

Solas: Would prefer it if next time you looked before you leaped.

Lavellan: I don't fall off that many cliffs.

Solas: Only four by my last count.

Varric: So that's why you keep hitting her with barrier!

 

Lavellan: Solas?
Solas: Yes, Venhan?

Lavellan: I was thinking that you're expending a lot of energy. Maybe you could save those extra barriers?

Solas: Perhaps if you did not leap so eagerly into the fray, I would not feel so compelled to assist you.

Varric: Give Chuckles a break, Inquisitor. He's just worried you'll run off a cliff chasing after those rams.

Solas: It is not like it has not happened before. Repeatedly.

Lavellan: And here I thought you enjoyed patching me up.

Solas: (silence)

Varric: Ha! She's got you there, Chuckles.

 

Blackwall: Do you two need a moment?

Solas: No. I am fine, as is she.

Blackwall: It's just you've been watching her carefully since that last fight. I was thinking maybe you noticed something we didn't.

Solas: No. She is... well.

Blackwall: That last blade did swing awfully close.

Lavellan: It missed.

Solas: And I am thankful it did, Venhan.

Damn, I don't get much field banter with him  Jealous! I just love hearing his voice *girly giggling*

Ha, yeah I brought Cass, Cole and Solas to the ball. I was gone to laughter with them introducing Cassandra's neverending names and then Solas as my manservant. I thought he'd be mad, but he enjoyed it. Cole hid in the library and commented that he didn't realise people were wearing masks. Oh Cole.

As my human noble I didn't take him, but afterwards I went to chat to him and he talked about missing that kind of atmosphere, I asked when he was ever at a ball and he began stuttering over his response. It was all very 'Er, well, I mean I've never been to one properly before, I mean in the Fade'

 

Lie harder Solas I know your game.

Flemeth/Mythal is the one that says she "pushes" history. Fen'Harel/Solas doesn't seem to make a move aside from giving the orb to Coryphefish. With the Inquisition he certainly has the opportunity to wield some serious influence. And Mythal has just as much to lose by people finding out about Fen'Harel as he does

I was reading the elven lanague article on the wiki and this phrase caught my attention: Fen'Harel enansal; according to the wiki, this is the phrase to activate the elluvians. So I wonder what role did solas/fen'harel have in dealing with the elluvians. Perhaps that is where the creators are trapped?

Also, hi everyone! New to this thread. Decided to romance Solas this playthrough after romancing Cullen. Not finished with the romance yet but oh my god, so far, it might be my favorite BioWare romance. Which is saying something, because I'm a huge Alistair/Warden and Kaidan/Shepard fan.
