May I ask for the reason why

Solas hinted that the creators wernt gods but powerful mages so the elves would be his people maybe?

Ah ok,thanks! About the Solas romance, if they do provide us with some closure in a future DLC or Expansion, this might be my favorite Bioware romance ever which is huge because I didn´t think anything could beat the Garrus one,so yeah Wolf hunt please?

I think he barely considers Elves as his people, other races are just not his thing..  To me he is a stuck up High Elf that is a bit "ageist" to mortal elfs. But oh so sexy!

If you max out Solas's disapproval as a non-elf, he will comment that he has spent little time among your people, but has heard that ___. With ___ being a somewhat racist remark. I think humans are thuggish, ect.

 

It might be a weak reasoning, but Solas probably hasn't spent a lot of time among non-elves. It would just be another layer of animosity to go through, and Solas is already an extremely guarded character.

 

The narrative of their romance seems to imply that he sees Lavellan as the first 'modern' elf worthy of the ancient elven heritage. As to why he prefers females only- who knows. If I had to guess, its because he's not truly a 'god', just an extremely powerful spirit or ancient elf, and has direct preferences as far as sexuality goes. [Rather than say, being some amorphous entity that just takes on a male form.]

 

Edit: And as my brother has described him as- he's a nerd. Of course he has bizarrely specific true waifu desires.

oh well....maybe it is just me, but even without knowing this background, you wouldn't consider that he just wants elves for uhhh well... Especially after he has so many problems with elves, even if he is...or kind of...is...an elf. I mean, it doesn't make sooo much sense. sounds plausible. but then the not by the devs or writers...or whatever doesn't make so much sense.

I was reading the elven lanague article on the wiki and this phrase caught my attention: Fen'Harel enansal; according to the wiki, this is the phrase to activate the elluvians. So I wonder what role did solas/fen'harel have in dealing with the elluvians. Perhaps that is where the creators are trapped?

Cole says "They sleep trapped in a mirror hiding hurting" when he is talking about Solas and Lavellan during party banter so yes, they are most lkely trapped in the Elluvian.

 

I can't take pics with the xbox so I tried my best to draw my Lavellan. Haha it kinda turned out lopsided. And the lips are seriously wacked .

I haven't finished but my boyfriend filled me in on most of the book... couldn't he also be saying "Fen'Harel"? Said mysterious person might hate it because he's an enemy, or related some other way.

There's no way we'll know, because the scene was intentionally written to leave question as to who or what was going on. Much like the ending scene of the game.

 

The fact that Weekes is not clarifying now that we know Solas is Fen'Harel seems to imply that this will be addressed at some point in the future.
