Solas just falls in love with elves? They said you can understand it if you know the story...but I still can't understand it XD. The reason can't be that he is the dread wolf.... can it?

I thought it was he dislike of anyone not the People. I've heard if you're not an elf, he's really hard to get you to like him.

Not really. In my canon PT I'm a human, and Solas and I get along swimmingly. He respects you if you keep an open mind, and see the grey in the black and white.

I guess I always figured the reason he only fell for elves is.....because racism in dragon age is not the same as in real life?

The only thing I would change is make his hair a bit more auburn to go with his eyebrows... A sweet, smexy scotch bonnet.

I really, really love the dreadlocks. But...

 

I think had they gone with his original design, Solas would have been too obvious a character. My brother recently started playing, and often described the cast as 'Cassandra, Varic, and Redshirt.' He was absolutely convinced that Solas was a throw away character.

 

Now, there are times when a character design like that can kill you. You want characters to look like main characters! Except in instances where the character is deliberately hiding something. I think Solas's design helped make the eventual reveal so shocking. 

 

But I absolutely believe Solas had some ridiculously fabulous hair in the old days. Perhaps cutting it off was even symbolic.

Btw, I found out what "Fenedhis" means. You can find a note in the first house when you come to Emprise du Lion. It is about "swearing". Something like "damn" or "****" XD THAT is what Solas sometimes says when the Inquisitor dies.

I remember this in mangas and animes, I think it was because someone had bad luck in love...or something like that. But of course there could be a bigger meaning behind this.

Just popping in to say hi, I'm a Solasmancer and it seems I have to play elven Inquis for the rest of time just so that I'll be able to romance Solas in every single playthrough. Damn. I wanted to try the other romances too, but now I KNOW THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO. And the heartbreak. Sorry Cullen, you know that I adore you since DA:O but ... he's
