I didn't want spoilers so I stayed away from all online discussion until I beat the game, which took awhile. I liked him from the start though, when he was an underdog. It's too bad that despite this thread's page count, we still don't get Solas merch or official answers.

Ahhh memories. It was satisfying when people started to warm up to him quickly after we got his interview and information finally. And then his romance restriction came out and suddenly everyone was like:
Does he say something different after the Big Bad as well? I heard if you pick the "Tell me you don't care/tell me I'm some casual dalliance" option that he doesn't say "what we had was real," he says something like "you were right to be angry".
actually i don't recall him saying that at all ("what we had was real"). hmmmm maybe i shouldve done the well quest differently?

I wasn't participating in the thread, but I remember being disappointed with the LI options. I thought well..my other canon characters romanced elves so why not?
Then there was that "are you joking?" and the little laugh when you ask if Varric is part of the Chantry and I WAS IN LOVE GUYS.
Re merchandise: Could we please get a wolf necklace? They released Cole's, Varric's, and a Seeker amulet. I'd love a delicate little jawbone in gold/brass.

I went with sad puppy option after the temple and did not drink from the well. Not sure if other's got the same dialogue with different choices.

Nothing wrong with that! xD Honestly we had so little information on him for sooooo long, it's totally understandable that a lot of people weren't attracted to him right off the bat.

that last scene... lavellan made some nice rage lines, i loved it that you're able to yell. i just HAD to see all of the dialogue options for that scene.
and gosh that was a big number of loading screens i had to watch. so i made a compilation video of all dialogue options from the last scene if anyone's interested or too lazy to wait for the game to finish loading to see it all

My first question: is it okay to touch his head when we kiss? Does he mind? Am I supposed to be caressing his sparkly dome at any point? I'm used to grabbing a full-ish head of hair when the spirit moves me. How do you steer a bald guy around? Am I supposed to grab his ears? I'm clueless here.
Just between us, it's a little strange to caress a dude's bald head. It feels like I'm cupping a dinosaur egg which is cool--don't get me wrong--but I'm not sure that I'd classify cupping a dinosaur egg as sexy. I don't know what to do with his bald head and I'm too nervous to ask. Should I kiss it at any point? It feels like I'm kissing a kneecap. I'm intimidated!

I haven't posted in here yet so I'm just going to say that prior to the game's release Solas never interested me in the slightest and his baldness was a huge turn off and I was dead set on banging Cullen. Then, I got my hands on the game and decided to opt for a female elf for the hell of it, AND THEN I MET SOLAS. He has quickly replaced Fenris and Alistair for favourite DA guy. SERIOUSLY THO, THAT VOICE. AND THOSE RANTS. AND THAT SMILE.
I have never shipped anyone as much I ship Solas/Lavellan. MAKE IT HAPPEN, MR. WEEKES.
