That just brings up another question! Is his head shaved, waxed, or naturally bald? His head is awfully shiny. Did anybody see any five o' clock scalp shadow?!

If he gets that upset (and dare I say, vengeful) over harm done to his friend, what would he do if someone hurt the person he loved? Perhaps he broke it off with Lavellen not only to pursue his goals, but also out of a need to hide/protect his weakness.

But then there's sera who would drink tequila with no chaser and call everyone various nonsensical obscenities for not being hardcore enough.

 

And my current Lavellan would probably go with whiskey. She's a very... "in your face" sort of character as far as my headcannon goes. (I already played a diplomatic elf and a more innocent/overly helpful one)

She's also my only rogue, guess that says something about my preconceptions towards personalities vs classes.

I just had a headcanon about badboy!Solas. Imagine if, at first, he simply had the desire to break Lavellan, because she is one of those elves - Dalish and knows nothing about the world. And he is who he is, after all. Even if the people got a lot about him wrong he still likes trickery, which becomes apparent in one of his banters with Varric. So there he is, simply drawn to Lavellan because he wishes to break that damn naive outlook on the world that she has. Goes well with his shifty looks, too. But he then eventually falls in love with her after all. Would make great fanfiction material. (Maybe I will actually use that plotbunny in the future...)

Okay a couple...

What you need to survive Solas romance:

1. 2-3 bottles of liquor.

2. An unhealthily large dose of writing/reading fanfiction or making/viewing arts that help with post-game feels.

3. Icecream, chocolate or another junkfood of choice.

4. Someone to hug you.

5. If you dont have #4 look into getting/finding an old stuffed animal to hug (or if you still have them *guilty* you can just find your favorite)

6. 1-3 boxes of kleenex.

7. A save before every romance scene so you can go view them again. (Just in general save before you talk to him and if it doesn't trigger anything save over the save or delete it or whatever you do with just in case saves)

8. Dis thread to have people who share your pain.

I didn't want spoilers so I stayed away from all online discussion until I beat the game, which took awhile. I liked him from the start though, when he was an underdog. It's too bad that despite this thread's page count, we still don't get Solas merch or official answers.
