I find the main story to be more impactful if you do a bunch of side quests inbetween missions.
Yeah, he was not a very good gamer. I honestly don't know why he'd bother playing if he just hated all of it.

I couldn't get the All New Faded For Her quest to work. -__-
I go to the area but no cutscene triggers (and I do have Solas in the party). ):
There's a bug. If you're getting it you need to re-load the save and approach from the north. You cannot approach from the river or from the Dalish camp. You'll know you're going the correct way when you come across two bodies (then the cutscene will trigger)
Yeah, especially which wolf exactly
*mad laughing*
Did you read btw that the Dalish lie flowers in front of the wolf statues, but not really knowing why?
Isn't there a codex somewhere that says two orbs and flowers growing in the center?

Is this the quest with the spirit? I had this problem too. Had to reload and slowely getting there over the grass...actually I had to reload two times

I don't remember this one. Just found a note under a wolf statue in Emprise du Lion. And I found it interessting that those Dalish kind of felt the urge to lie flowers under it but didn't really know why.
Thanks a lot. I keep that in mind. I am visiting for some months a therapist because of my extreme shyness.
Oh well, Solas kind of reminded me of one of my professors because of his baldness ._." But not while speaking XD as my professor was actually italian and it was too cute listening to him while he was talking in german =3
I've had some trouble with my shyness too. Baby steps though, hun. You'll get better with it in time. ![]()
The masochist in me really wants to see a fic where after defeating Corypheus, the Inquisitor is in real danger and is kidnapped by a group of heretics, kept trapped by blood magic, and Solas finds out about it. Not because I have a white knight fantasy or anything, just because

This is once again off topic. I hate to tell you guys, but the new DSM V eliminated the diagnoses of Aspergers and it's only Autism now. I am not saying that I agree wtih the decision, but technically Aspergers don't exist. =/ At the end of the day it's just a label. What matters is how comfortable you are with yourself. Everyone is different to some degree anyway and that's what makes the world interesting.
On topic. Solasss whyyyy?
yeah. its *technically* not a thing. The best way to explain it now is "high functioning Autism". I think, personally, it was a bad idea. The term aspergers itself was gaining some bad press because a few too many people were diagnosed with it due to conscious poor behavior and it became more of an 'excuse term'. However, lumping it in with Autism in general tends to draw too many incorrect assumptions towards it. If there's one thing I hate its when people assume I need more help than I actually do when I say the correct term now, So I still use Aspergers to clarify. It also leaves too many openings for abusing it. For example I could apply and receive a lot of mental disability scholarships if I wanted to because Its just called Autism now, despite that due to the level I function at there are many people that could use it a lot more. not to mention the special counseling/help I could receive through the university's disability centre.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread. But that is very interesting. Why would they lay flowers for a wolf.

Thank you. Yeah, actually it became worse, that is why I went to the therapist. I am afraid of emails ._." but have to read them, it is always a struggle. That is why writting in a forum was a big step for me. Guess, I thought you guys were nice enough
(When I was young I was a ... very euphoric chatter, well, people change)

Yes...that is what I thought too. Who did actually say, that the legend of the dread wolf was wrong? It wasn't just Solas about the old legends, was it?
@vylix
Ok, we must have Solas turning into a wolf in a cutscene in the dlc/expansion. White wolf or black wolf? Can't decide.

Abelas said that the Dread Wolf didn't murder Mythal. We can infer that most of the Dalish stories about him were wrong just from that.

I used to be very shy and had few friends. Now I can easily give a class lecture and no one would have ever guessed that I am an introvert and used to be shy. It's definitely something that can be improved.

Oh. What if Mythal's murderer was the one who spread the false stories about the Dread Wolf.
Yeah, especially which wolf exactly

I did read that, and found it interesting.. I can't think of a reason at the moment, but, I'll think on it once I've had some proper sleep.

I didn't see that anyone actually said that, I felt it could be inferred from the stories that Solas told versus the ones we knew. As well as Abelas saying the Dread Wolf had nothing to do with her murder...
Though, I'm sure the Dalish don't know Mythal is "dead".

I wonder about that. Is that his actual manifestation? Or was he so named because of comparisons of trickery and betrayal to beasts that were feared or otherwise problematic? There's a lot of wolf imagery attached to him and the legend, but I haven't really given thought to him being in any sort of wolf form, because... why? If none of the other gods were depicted in such ways, why would he be?
Gah, That reminds me of my ex, he used to speed run through games and then just ****** about how boring the game was. Seriously, I think he finished Skyrim with in 6 hours. DX I don't think I even finished the main quest line.
Ugh. I had this ex that like Only played league of legends. It literally became his life. He dropped out of univ, dumped me and all that fun stuff. HES NOT EVEN GOOD AT THE GAME. IM THE SAME RANK AND IM MOSTLY CASUAL D:
Now he likes to stalk my WoW/League/any other account he knows of online to ****** about anything he thinks im doing even remotely wrong to a mutual acquaintance.
And how? only 6 hours? I have at least 800 hours between my computer and my fiance's. D:
Edit:

White if his tarot card has the white wolf, black if it has the big black one? :3
So guys, I need to know for my playthrough... How far can I flirt with Solas and other people before I get into the commitment? Is there something on the dialogue wheel that says "Enter into a relationship with Solas"? So I'll know?

It honestly could have been less. Between taking care of his siblings and the house. I got it set up on his laptop and the next day he said he beat it. x.x I spent time and effort making sure it would work.
And seriously, speed run, means he skipped everything but the main quest.

I believe Mythal was symbolized by dragons in some of the ruins we saw? And in the *spoiler* final cutscene with the mirror, there was a statue of the wolf on the left, and the dragon on the right - symbolizing Fen'Harel and Mythal. Or I might have misinterpreted that.
Also when I think of Solas having a "wolf form", I think back to the dalish clan in DAO, when Zathrian bound the Lady of the Forest to the form of a wolf as punishment - maybe it was not his original form? But some form of punishment?
Abelas said that the Dread Wolf didn't murder Mythal. We can infer that most of the Dalish stories about him were wrong just from that.
Yes, but I thought about other Dalish, if they couldn't be able to know about the "real" legends.

This is exactly what I thought about too. Maybe it was just to scare little kids (and some adults).

I assume he'd have a wolf form because Flemeth knows shapeshifting magic and taught morrigan. I'd assume most of the people whom are like her would be able to use shape shifting. Thus his depiction is a wolf because that's his preferred form.

They're shapeshifting mages. In DAO Morrigan talks about exploring places a lot in wolf form. Wolves are stealthy and canny. It's probably just the form that works best for him so that's how he's known.
So guys, I need to know for my playthrough... How far can I flirt with Solas and other people before I get into the commitment? Is there something on the dialogue wheel that says "Enter into a relationship with Solas"? So I'll know?
Up until Skyhold you can flirt away. But that first flirt option when you talk to them there is counted as a "commitment." So if you get an option with a heart and broken heart, that's the warning sign.
I was so glad Blackwall had a break up option.

that is some interessting interpretation! I'd go with this if they won't say otherwise ^^
edit: oh man XD mages....pffff didn't think about them, I kind of like the other idea XD "punishment" I think I am a bad person.
