The banter is amazing in this game- I feel bad for those who are having trouble hearing it. I did the whole playlist on my iphone and just let it play through as I drove around doing errands the other day. I was dying laughing sometimes. I love how Cassandra teases Iron Bull- how some of them are so gentle with Cole, how Cole and Solas drive everyone crazy. How Sera, Iron Bull and Blackwall get along. 

 

I just love it, and I highly suggest everyone listen to all of them because it really gives deeper insight to the companions, especially the ones I don't take with me regularly.   

 

Dorian and Viv are hilarious as is Viv and Varric.

 

I hardly heard any banter in the game for the first 60 hours. But the past couple days, I've been running around right before I can do the final battle, doing a bunch of random side quests, with the goal of getting Dorian and Iron Bull to bang - and I've gotten a ridiculous amount of banter lately. I don't know if it's just luck, or the longer you play the game the more they start triggering banters.

I finally found that armor yesterday and of course Solas had to wear it. I never want to take it off now, it looks so good on him lol

wasn't always the plan? Either way, I'm not sure what impact their original plans would have on what actually came to be.

I need this. I seriously love that hipster type of jewelry. Something like this except with a mini-jawbone and in gold or copper .  Also, would love if Lavellan had this, assuming her spirit animal is in fact a hart/stag.

I really can't keep up with this thread anymore. I write one post, and 10 new ones appear as I'm writing it.   We all have so many feelings! It's a big change from before when only a handful of us were interested in the nerdy elf.

 

I think I might be waiting to remake my Lavellan for awhile. I'm not happy with her makeup. It's hard to tell how heavy handed the blush is in the character creator. I can rewatch all the romance scenes whenever I want, since I have saves. But I really want to explore the other characters now too.

 

On another topic.. I'm currently on my second playthrough, of a mage Trevelyan romancing Cullen. He just has so much more romance content than Solas. It makes me a little sad. I wish Solas had more.

 

And the first two romance scenes occur with a non-romanced character too. Which.. Makes them feel less special, I guess. Because it still kinda feels like Solas is attracted to a female inquisitor who shares his viewpoints, even if he'd never admit to it/she wouldn't necessarily notice the bald elf in his pajammies making eyes at her. I'm uncertain whether it's the fact that the scenes play out so similarly, or if it was intended for Solas to have a sort of one sided attraction to a female Inquisitor he gets along with. He's still just as intense in those scenes, and he seems to be questioning his beliefs about humans/whatever race the Inquisitor is.

 

It supports the idea that the most attractive thing he sees in the Inquisitor is her spirit. Which is very romantic still.

I've got my PC in warden mage armor and like it, but that coat of elven princeliness is just Solas formalwear to me now.

What I've found is that when I'm powering through doing quests, you're in motion too much for it to trigger. I got so many banters while I was trying to climb those damn wolf statues, lol. Just from milling around. I also get them when I'm standing around doing something, like looking through an Ocularis (when everyone's got creepy Fade voice) or equipping potions.

It is a little sad, especially since those few scenes are as good as they are. More would be AMAZING. I'm wrapping up a Cullen romance and every time I think "Well, that has to be it til end game." he has more to say. Five years I waited to romance that Templar, and all I can think when his scenes are playing is "Gosh, I wish Solas had a fraction of this amount of stuff!"

 

Then I saw my boyfriend get the Fade-Haven scene, and may have pouted a little when I realized that there isn't a lot exclusive to the romance. Still, though... it's amazing how in depth they made it feel with just a few changes. Maybe they worried about hinting at too much?

I honestly think they were just regular elves who had an abundance of power and were treated as gods because of it. After all the stories and the lore you come across, it feels like all but Mythal and Fen'Harel had trouble keeping their power from going to their heads. But even Mythal and Fen'Harel weren't perfect, as we see in DA:I.

 

I also think Solas was actually lying about very little when he talked about the gods and his own past, even while he avoided mentioning that he actually had first-hand experience. I believe Fen'Harel started out as a young elven mage living in a dull village to the north, who lost himself in the Fade to escape from a world he didn't particularly enjoy being a part of... but then life happened. As it tends to do.

 

EITHER WAY... I could keep going but I'd rather talk about how I'm like 99% sure Solas is wearing some kind of body suit under his jammies.

 

If you look at his chest (which I tend to do a lot) and then his calves, they're both the same tight greenish material. All I can do after noticing this is imagine him in some kind of tight green Elven body suit underneath that shirt and pants.

You can ask him for advice about Corypheflip, but he doesn't really have the long scenes like the other companions get. The only reason I can think for them to do this is so they can develop his character more later. Everyone else seems pretty "complete" but we know very, very little about Solas. Even less if you do not romance him.

 

I hope it's that, and not that they had less content so we wouldn't get as attached when he has his fall from grace.

I really do hope they plan on extending his story...while still involving the Inquisitor. I almost hope he needs the anchor to do stuff or something.

He's never taking it off in my playthrough because I don't want him to run off with my good armor lol. Dorian gets all my good armor, Solas gets armor he looks good in.

Guys, I can't find a good solas wallpaper that's big enough to fill my screen. I don't want the ones with other people in it, unless it's Lavellan. I have a 21 inch monitor. Anyone know of a good one?

If they didn't want us to get attached to him then making him an LI would be the biggest **** up ever lol.
