Strike what I said earlier, I say we go with what Birdy suggested. He was pretty drunk at the Winter Palace. I can totally picture him nicking a helmet from some poor guard.
I would guess not sooner only because of Mike Laidlaw's "dear god let us rest" responses whenever non-multiplayer DLC was brought up pre-release.

Although he looks quite dashing in the formal suit I wanted my inquisitor to snatch that hat and set it on fire.

I was so into the scene when I watched it the first time, I assumed it was just some really poorly animated jewelry. He's got some crazy clipping issues on my PC as it is. I like the helmet, but no one else in the game wears one remotely like it. Trying to follow the fashion choices in this game is like playing Where In Time Is Carmen San Diego? I guess it kinda, almost, doesn't make sense if...
I hope it gets fixed. I can live if it doesn't though.

You are talking about the winter palace scene right? I was annoyed because it was a touching scene and immersion was broke because of the clipping. I guess they assume that most people won't bring Solas to the ball so they let it stay.

yeah, I really like that scene. You never see Solas simply comforting Lavellan except for that one and they messed it up.

The one I'm thinking of is from a twitch stream although I'm pretty sure he said it more than once before the game was out. He basically said they weren't thinking about DLC right now; they were just trying to finish the game they'd spent the last four years on and the team needed some time off before they did anything else. Apparently the multiplayer team doesn't get that time off because they're working on that.
They may be working on single player DLC now that most people who were working on DAI have gotten some vacation time though. They just weren't working on anything before the game was released.

Well, I don't think it's going to take more than a year for Wolf Hunt. Witch Hunt came out about a year after the game's release. Let's hope for some Solas relevant parts in whatever DLC they are planning to release first.

I played one or two matches, and it is fun. However, I dropped it as soon as I discovered that I couldn't turn off voicechat. Yeah, big WTF.

I'm guessing they didn't have the hours that the people working on the main game had. But I really don't know how it works, so you can take my word with a mountain of salt.

My bf pointed out that you can sort of figure out where they were planning on having players take characters based on where the amulets of power are. The one I found in the Winter Palace was for Vivienne, which makes sense given her background.
Anyway, I am sure that it is Solas who is in control at the end instead of

Of course, I had to bring up DLC at some point. People are rightfully wary of EA's influence, and Darrah noted that they are going to mostly going to listen to fan demand to shape post-game support. Although he wasn't able to confirm anything, DLC will likely be comprised of sandboxes -- large new areas that players can wander around and complete a main quest in, but also find sidequests for. There isn't going to be another expansion like Awakening though, sadly. Darrah said that it was "far too much work, and very expensive, as everything has to interact with the original game."
But I'm still hoping for some good stuff! ME3 had some really great DLC imo.

I was looking at the end scene again. It really does seem like Solas takes Mythal's powers/souls. He starts glowing green (spell/fade color) first and seems to draw her in.
My hope and desire would be for a couple of DLC that you can do before end-game so it adds a bit more content with all of the companions present. Not sure how that could work though, you already set yourself up to steamroll Corypheus pretty well by the end-game, but it'd be nice. Kind of like how you could do Legacy or Mark of the Assassin at any time in DA2. Then we'd get the big final expansion that tells us a bit more of just what the heck is going on and can lead in to the next game. Because seriously, there's a lot of story left there. We must know. We need to know. And not six years from now.

Things change all the time. I was surprised to hear they started an expansion for DA2 with all the bad press and complaints about it. That was also before DAI went "Gold" so maybe.
