Oh dear, if that's true, we'll most definitely be seeing more of him eventually.
Geez I really hope they make the next few games like ME. Or even just the next game.
Oh, Dagna will be SO happy.

Things change all the time. I was surprised to hear they started an expansion for DA2 with all the bad press and complaints about it. That was also before DAI went "Gold" so maybe.
But then they ended up scrapping the whole thing and moving some of the content into DA:I supposedly D:
DA:I has been selling decent, but not extraordinary or anything, so I think Darrah's words are probably a correct assumption for the future to come, especially because of the money factor. Then again I'm a tad bit pessimistic-like in nature, so don't mind me haha. Positivity is good!
Something like the Citadel DLC I think is a perfect in the middle option. Longer than normal DLC campaigns, but shorter than full out expansions. One or two of those types of DLC would make me personally really happy.
My hope and desire would be for a couple of DLC that you can do before end-game so it adds a bit more content with all of the companions present. Not sure how that could work though, you already set yourself up to steamroll Corypheus pretty well by the end-game, but it'd be nice. Kind of like how you could do Legacy or Mark of the Assassin at any time in DA2. Then we'd get the big final expansion that tells us a bit more of just what the heck is going on and can lead in to the next game. Because seriously, there's a lot of story left there. We must know. We need to know. And not six years from now.
I agree with this! It says in that article, posted above, that they were wanting to do more exploration DLC. That worries me. I don't want to wait six years to find out what the heck is going on with Solas, with a new protagonist.
This thread has become my Solas support group.
I need it, after that ending!
Urg. We really don't need more exploration. I don't think I've even been to half the places in the game because there are so many, I'm a bit surprised they didn't just make a huge open world like Skyrim. Almost with they did.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but

I agree. There are some really great pauses in his dialogue which indicate what he's not saying. What he doesn't is where the truth is. Solas lies a lot and even more by omission, but it's out of necessity. I can't shake the feeling that he wants to be honest and fears his own reaction to it as much as anyone else's.
*hugs thread op Solas* I adore you btw.
I love you guys too!! ![]()
For the person who mentioned the templar choices (this thread is moving much faster than I remember), thank you for letting me know. This information came straight from the official guide. I have now edited that information. Let me know if any there are any other mistakes so I can fix them. ![]()
I fixed it in the OP as well
OP has been updated with a few minor tweaks
yeah, I really like that scene. You never see Solas simply comforting Lavellan except for that one and they messed it up.
Well before the crazy clipping, I loved when his hand was on her back as he spoke to her. It's just such an easy, simple touch but it made me feel like they were really in a relationship!
We definitely need something as big and fun as Legacy ![]()
Oh and I totally want a fanservice DLC like "Citadel" ![]()

Yeah, I don't need more kissy scenes or sex scenes. I just want more hand holding scenes or studying a book together scenes.

I did the exact same thing. I was like "Solas, you can go sit down over there and pout because I'm not banishing the Wardens".
I assume we'll eventually find out exactly what his beef with them is. It obviously goes beyond just them being "irresponsible". He's tetchy about them trying to kill Old Gods, maybe.
Edit: On another note, someone on Tumblr made their own version of Solas' necklace! Look how cool it is:

So, are there any news about the missing third personal quest for our favorite bald elf?
(Imagine if there was another cutscene!
)
I need a Citadel DLC! I can never get enough of the Bioware slice of life moments with companions, especially in jokes. I'm not the biggest fan of Cole's fourth wall breaking, but I have a desperate need for Varric/Sera/Iron Bull banter about how I constantly fall off cliffs. Something about ankles and jumping off buildings. At the moment, I'm just making it up for myself.

^ this. I get that they're doing Multiplayer DLC first as It really needs more content. Its not balanced yet, it can be very pay-to-win ish and probably needs to have one more level break in it as when you first start unless you have someone on a new character in OP gear, a group of lv 1's have no chance at winning. Seriously, I sometimes go queue up in random difficulty and get paired with a bunch of level 1's as a high level keeper (I hate running without at least one barrier between everyone in the party and I cant get the last piece of goddamn cloth i need to unlock other characters) and even then its sometimes hard. If they dont stick together so i can maintain a constant barrier i'm usually stuck on revive duty or kiting bosses or both which can be a pain since I didn't get ANY keeper gear drops yet and DONT HAVE THE DAMN CLOTH TO MAKE BETTER GEAR. It was all goddamn warrior shite; I don't need 5 blue+ quality 2h axes guys.
Seriously. Whomever decided the loot drop of things that give you Cloth and to include the damn amount of variety of cloth in multiplayer derped really goddamn hard. I have enough cloth to craft anything, but i don't have more than 3 pieces of one kind yet im rolling in metals and leather. (KINKY! huehue)
ANYWAYS. off topic there.
I think they should address Solas' storyline sooner rather than later, especially if they're going to make any content with him within other dlc's. It makes more sense to me to let us be able to play with our post-game canon files and drag him along for other DLC's if we can get him back. This would also open up the possibility of giving him different dialogue trees based on what point in the game we're at when we go and do the DLC, which I think would be a nice way of making up for his lack of content in the normal story; Particularly with his growing popularity. I think there should be a DLC to resolve Solas' storyline with the inquisitor one way or another, and then maybe an expansion to lead into the next story. It looks like a lot of people of significance are heading west, and we're going to need some sort of expansion that knocks our inquisitor out of heading that direction or the direction where they actually decide to go with the next game (because i mean they might not go west or north/west but it just seems to be hinting that way). Technically the inquisition isn't loyal to any one power (aside from itself of course), and it wants to provide stability. If a problem arises somewhere close enough to be a threat, or a problem that is significant enough to draw the inquisition's attention arises, its silly to think our inquisitor will sit around doing nothing about it unless we're given a reason for why they wont. If they don't want us to keep the same character (and i doubt they want us to considering the protagonist changes in dragon age games) we need a solid reason why the inquisition wouldn't show up there. Hell maybe that could be tied into Solas' DLC.
I think the main reason we need a large DLC or an expansion to provide that reason, and correct me if I'm wrong on this, is because
I also wouldn't mind a during storyline DLC to give us more things to do with our army. you know, Make it feel like we have to build up and can actually lose our army. Or something to make it feel like if we neglect to build up an army (maybe even give us more ways to build up too) We're going to have problems.
Also I'm sorry this is repetitive. I'm prepping for finals this week and my brain is more than a little fried. I cant figure out how to word it better right now ![]()
I was doing Vivianne's Snow White quest and noticed something at Solas shrine

Well he wants people to see shades of grey and not black and white lol. But that's all people see in regards to his actions.
Speaking of DLC, there isn't going to be any Awakening-style expansions for it unfortunately

But I'm still hoping for some good stuff! ME3 had some really great DLC imo.
"Darrah noted that they are going to mostly going to listen to fan demand to shape post-game support."
I actually think this is a good sign. From what I've seen, most people want Bioware to address that post-credits scene ASAP, and not just the people who romanced Solas.
