Do Dalish marry within the clan? Do Keepers marry? How does courtship work?
They do. I remember that from DA:O. I think the Dalish Elf's father or mother was a Keeper, so they were "technically" descended from some sort of Elven nobility. I have no idea how courtship works though.
Probably like it does everywhere?
How bound do you think Solas is to his god-nature? If he's the "god of rebellion" is he somehow magically compelled to act rebelliously (as spirits/Cole are/is)? Or is it that his personality was rebellious and thus that persona was attached to him? Or somewhere in the middle? I guess this ties into the "what is Solas" question...
I don't know if he actually is a god in the sense of say the Nine Divines or the Daedric Princes. He is certainly a very powerful mage and probably manages to break into the Arthur C Clarke quote category about magic and technology with his godhood. I think he's more like a Pharoah kind of god than a Maker and I feel like he's more bound by a sense of personal duty to right his past wrongs than he is by any divine mandate. He's a very human/mortal character.
Do you think Solas undervalues the Wardens because he's possibly never experienced a blight first-hand?
I honestly think Flemeth's quote about Morrigan in Dragon Age 2 applies to him. He's a man who thinks he knows what is what better than anyone. They were binding demons, possibly good spirits, which is a no, no for him and planning to assault the old gods. Though I think he does say that the old gods of Tevinter have nothing in common with his people, but it does hit close to home. One of his big character flaws is his inability to either understand or accept the world as it is. He believes he knows what is right and for all his open mindedness, he's very closed off toward the world. He's a man out of time, the Fade is more real to him and he has more in common with the spirits there than he does with those living in Thedas now. He doesn't know the terror of the Blight, he does know the horror of mages imprisoning and enslaving his friends.
No brainer, really.
For fun: If your Lavellan had three tarot cards, what three do they think they'd be (my third one is the Moon, can't decide on the others)
Ooh, fun. I don't know enough about Tarot to be really accurate but I'll throw some out there.
1) Death
2) Strength
3) The Star
For fun #2: What's your quizzie up to these days?
She's trying to rediscover the past history of the Ancient Elves to try to help build a better future for the City Elves and the Dalish. She feels she needs to learn more about the Fade (and her own powers) through exploration. She's working mostly with Cole and Dorian with a little help from Vivienne every now and then with Bull watching their backs while they all sleep. (They don't trust her to leave out food for the spiders. Well, Cole does. Dorian... no, no spiders.) Interestingly, I headcanon that Abelas came back because the world was more full of humans than he thought and he needs the Inquisition's help to find a new place to live. Lavellan and Abelas are coming to an understanding. Cole, however, doesn't like it one bit.
I have a headcanon that my Lavellan goes to Cole for insight on the matter. He can see into people, and I think he can tell if two people could be happy together. She'd go to him like: should I be hurting this bad, and is it worth it?
And I pin Terrwyn to be around 26.
That's interesting. In my headcanon, Cole goes off into her memories or relates Solas' whenever she starts to move on toward someone else whether that's Cullen or a crack ship with Abelas, I'm not sure. He doesn't want to hurt her any more than she is already, but he doesn't want her to give up on Solas either. I don't know, I can just see him being an irritating little guy about it in his own adorable way.
