Yeah I did that quest and I definitely found it intriguing especially since I think that was the one that confirmed how Cory-penis escaped death at Hawke's hands. (Like we have all been speculating about for years now.) But yeah Lyrium has been called a song and such for while and I like that. I especially like how it has been suggested more fervently in this game that lyrium is not benevolent and should not be used. For that reason none of my mages have partaken in Lyrium in Inquisition.
I feel like I recall someone (maybe in Origins) talking about lyrium as the bones of old gods. I feel like it was a throwaway codex or something and meant to be poetic versus literal, but it raises an interesting point.
There are just so many questions. Like if the mirror is a gateway to another world like Morrigan said. I think she called it another "in between place", then what happens if it is warped? Could that have been the problem Fen'harel did not foresee?
Also, a little while ago you guys were talking about what is different about the Inquisitor and what is Solas referring to when he mentions it. Personally, I truly feel as though we were creating a legend and hero in this game more than in any of the others. Like it was more than respect and admiration your Inquisitor gains throughout the game. It was even more than just simple power. The Inquisitor gained the fervent veneration of the people of Thedas. When Solas thinks that the Inquisitor is "real, then they could all be real." Perhaps he is referencing that the Inquisitor has reached a pre-godlike status. Like the circumstances surrounding her /or him was similar to how the old elvhen gods became "real". After all there is so much myth and legend surrounding the elvhen that Solas is constantly poking holes in.
"It all comes down to people."
I'm not saying that the Inquisitor is immortal now or anything, but I think there is a comparison there to divinity. If the people decide you are divine, then you might as well be a god. It would also explain why there is such a dramatic difference in whether or not you have Solas approval in how he speaks to you. Either he hates you, like really fraking hates you or he is almost swept up in the marvelous treasure that the Inquisitor is.
