OMG THOSE FANFICS!

OMG THOSE FANFICS!

Ok, in an attempt to delve back into mysteries of Solas I have a question.
Does anyone have a good reason or theory on why there are so many Fen'harel statues everywhere? Not in the Plains, but in Temples devoted to specific members of the Pantheon. The only one that makes sense is in Mythal, but no one explains it. Remember the Dead Hand had one and the Temple of Dirthamen and there were more too. So what is that all about?
What role did Fen'harel truly fill?
Surely he didn't start out as the "God of Rebellion"
Another topic.
Solas mentions how back in ancient Arlathan there was no separation between the Fade and reality. However, Skyhold is called thus because it was "holding back the sky" and it is from ancient elvhen times. I can only imagine that "holding back the sky" means holding the veil in check.
It almost feels like Fen'harel predates more history than we give him credit for.
OP updated with the new info from PW regarding Solas' lines at Temple of Mythal, thanks to Prince of Keys for spearheading the hunt for an answer to this ![]()
Maybe Fen'Harel started out as some kind of guardian or protector? Wasn't it in the Emerald Graves where they talked about the Emerald Knights having wolf partners? And the statues there look like the wolf statues everywhere, including the one where Morrigan was like "this is Fen'Harel why is he here".

Yea, I've been going "completionist" trying to get Dorian and Iron Bull hooking up, so I've spent a loooooot of hours lately just running around environments looking for bottles or random crap. And now that I know about Solas, I am noticing all those wold statues more and more. They are everywhere.
I wonder how they make him feel.

Oh damn, I had the same plot bunny. But this is absolutely amazing.
My own Solas/Lavellan smut is a little more fluffy, though he is still the dominant one in the relationship.
I'm used to writing Fenris smut. I found this harder.

Out of likes for that day, but that was really well written. Love me some fluffy smut. ( ˘ ³˘)♥
Oh no that sound Solas makes if you kill the Pride Demon in his quest.
I could never do that, I'm weak. I can't do a playthrough where he hates my guts as interesting as that might be!
I like the idea that he was a protector first.
It would have made the betrayal that much harsher if he was the defender turned rebellious. Perhaps Mythal's murder was the catalyst?
Still there are so many questions.
I can't get a clear idea of when the veil came into existence. I feel like if I could, then it would help a lot.
I think part of the reason might be OOC. They wanted to make sure new people were aware of who Fen'Harel was.
Then there's also the fact that a lot of them are likely ancient, and predate his betrayal of the other gods.
Is there a video?!
I want to see it because I'm a terrible masochist.
I'm a coward, but I totally can't complete Solas' quest by actually killing the demon. I can't do it to him! I really want to see the dialogue, though. Anyone got a video, maybe? [edit: nvm, found it, yay. - hopefully it got everything]
EDIT: this one:
La Ronde Lunaire - Origa

Starts around 3:33 in that video.
Oh my, the influence you people have on me...
I started flirting with Dorian and his flirty remarks are hilarious.
Why didn't I do this my first playthrough!?

Oh, that sound he makes. Heartbreaking.
If that had happened on my first PT, I would never have been able to justify his return to Skyhold.

For the same reason I didn't take Solas to the ball on my first playthrough. Horrible lapse in judgement.
In my head cannon the only reason my Lavellan survived the breakup is cos of her relationship with Dorian. Which is why I am wasting hours of my life trying to get him laid....gonna live vicariously through him for awhile.
So, I'm hopefully finally getting somewhere in my Solas-mancing game. He really takes his time with things romance-wise. I need advice before continuing much further. Should I prepare for the inevitable with
a) Chocolate
b ) Chocolate ice-cream or
c) Ignore the comfort foods and just open the Christmas Baileys in the back of the cupboard?

PS - I just love this character, he is just.....I don't know.......so worth the heartache. ![]()

Haha. I did that, though I missed the banter. I walked around for hours, but when I stepped away for a moment it apparently happened because I was able to ask them about their relations. I'm glad some people in the Inquisition are happy, at least. Even if misery does enjoy company. Varric seemed pretty miserable after his quest. Maybe Lavellan can go be miserable with him. Play some cards and drink.
@Sister Goldring: Both A and B, plus the last half of C (don't ignore the comfort food, you'll need that too)

I'd say d) All of the above.
Be prepared to be smacked with the feels (an expression I never used that often until Solas...)

My head cannon has Lavellan leaving presents for both The Iron Bull and Dorian in a futile attempt to get them together. Meanwhile they've been shagging for months and she has no idea.
