It makes sense when it's revealed he was an old friend of Flemeth's. Trying to save/purify the archdemon by making an old god baby was her idea... Maybe he gets this opinion from her?

I believe the old gods are the elven gods.  Someone explained it as Greece and Rome. Rome took over and renamed the gods to make them "their" gods

Can you imagine Dorian, Iron Bull, and Cassandra being super protective of Lavellan? Bull would get her out of the castle and drink with her, Dorian would have her continue studying and offering a shoulder, and Cassandra would loan her...like...every romance novel she owns so she can see happy endings and cry. And Cole would be that sweet younger brother offering explanations, solutions, and encouragement - and maybe even taking her out like she did for him.

I was wondering if anyone knows how Solas responds to the 3 last options? I picked the "Can't we fix it?" which he replied "it shouldn't have been like this" or something like that but I'm very interested if he reply something else in the other options?

Edit: Looked it up, he says, "It is not your fault." So I was right, except for the contraction.

I don't think so, first from what I remember they don't match thematically nor are they similar (for examples the elves never had a god of slaves or beauty, but my Dalish lore is a bit rusty so forgive me if what I am saying makes no sense) also

that thing about how Abelas says that Mythal was murdered makes me think that they are not the same because the ancient Tevinter pantheon -as far as we know- never had a myth about one god being murdered, maybe the Tevinter gods usurped some of the Elven gods places? Though I am not sure about that

You can't use what Abelas said as known lore, it's a very small amount of people who knows she was murdered.  Gods are added and changed around.  The elves were slavers of their own people, I can't see why one that used to be "God of slaves" wasn't' changed around a bit too.

I so can--especially because Dorian calls you his best friend. I can also imagine Iron Bull offers to kick some ass, which my Lavellan wouldn't agree to even if IB could actually find Solas, so he settles for getting her absolutely drunk (to which she probaly wouldn't agree to either). And Cass is kind of awkward about not knowing how to console her, but maybe she takes you out to practice combat skills or something to take your mind off things. And Cole... well, spirit Cole feels sad because he can feel the constant hurt in Lavellan but can't fix it. I want to write a story in which Lavellan is tempted to, or may even, ask Cole to have her forget Solas to end her everlasting pain. Last resort, if no DLC comes with a good ending for L/S.

Whoa, just a thought here.  What if the magisters were the ones who murdered Mythal, using her as a blood sacrifice to enter the fade. A lover betrayed her?  Blood magic seems to be the most powerful magic in the world, and to use a being that was a "god" . . .

It is an interesting possibility, but now that I think about it what if the Old Gods of the Imperium are in fact the Forgotten Ones? Maybe

they somehow tricked the Creators, which would explain why Flemeth speaks about avenging Mythal, and then betrayed them and once that was done presented themselves to the people of Tevinter as the true gods? Though that would put in question why Flemeth would want the soul of Urthemiel and Solas's role in all of this
