I'm ashamed to admit that I'm listening to voiceclips of Torchwood of Ianto to hear Solas' voice.. Especially when the character gets upset, you really hear Solas there

I don't think my Lavellan went to cry on anyone's shoulder. I consider her to be fairly private, even though she did make friends with most of her companions. I have this idea it was awhile before anyone noticed that she and Solas were even a thing, and then the same about them no longer being together. Just enough ambiguity to keep them confused, which would make them hesitant to intrude. Just as she would want it.

 

Some pain is bittersweet, and as such is a pain we wish to keep and respect for what it is. For her, it's far too sensitive and complex to get drunk and cry about.

 

Me, on the other hand... I teared up, because it was just so beautiful. All of it. How so much feeling and emotion can be put into such little content and so few words... it's just amazing.

Except mine would kind of stealthily go to others for companionship/comfort--nerding out with Dagna, hanging out in the library with Dorian, maybe starting a book club or something with Cassandra, etc. Keeping her actual pain to herself, but making sure she's not alone/idle when she's hurting emotionally. (And then probably worrying about how Solas likely is alone, wherever he is. :c)

 

also she probably goes and sleeps on his couch & chair/desk when she gets really stressed out and tired... he didn't take them with him, they're fair game!!

you offer to sacrifice yourself to save Haven.  It's a curious disapproval, and I'm wondering if it's tied to his affection level or if he knows that the Herald/Inquisitor is important to his future plans (referring to the talk about the anchor being his "key") and/or eliminating Corypheus

I think my mage would be searching the Fade for him, or any little clue of where he went, every single night.  She'd also be pestering Leliana for clues.  And naturally she'd plan a mission to scout out that strange little ruined town where Solas said he was from, just so she could dream there and hopefully get more clues.

 

And, basically, like me, hoping that Leliana's words are true.  "He could show up at any moment."

 

Cassandra would be quite worried about her friend withdrawing so much.

My Lavellan is pretty stoic, I doubt she would run to anyone with her problems. I think she had some angry tears, but a lot of it was due to her own pride being damaged. She's really never had to deal with someone rejecting her before. Even worse, Solas wasn't just her lover, he was her mentor. She takes responsibility for 'chasing him off'. Part of her knows there was more to it than that...but its hard not to feel responsible. Like she pushed him into a relationship too quickly, because like everything, she thought she could control it.

 

After Cory's defeat, she's more worried about Solas than pining over her relationship. She's a smart woman, and she probably has the sense that the job isn't done so long as there are missing pieces. The thought that would concern her the most is that she may have both misread Solas, and possibly given him the impression that she wouldn't hear him out. 

 

That said- I think her closest friends would be Cole and Cassandra. She had been friendly with Sera, but after the Mythal thing, I imagine their relationship got super frosty. Lavellan may be doubting her own beliefs at this point, but she can't stand anyone who just writes something off for no intelligent reason. 

 

As far as Solas visiting her in her dreams...probably. I would think once you have that kind of power, its extremely hard to stop using it.

Don't know how long it's been on the site, but Bioware is pre-selling a Solas shirt.

It's the non-romanced tarot image, so fingers crossed the romanced one is in the works!  Still, think I'll snag one for myself.

At this point in the game, I think it's a mixture of both. His feelings for the Inquisitor have begun to develop, but I think his disapproval is still 60:40 leaning toward feelings. Not sure, but I've wondered that myself.

This reminds me in Da:o and DA 2 your LI would be trying to "protect" you during combat. I didnt get that feeling in DA:I or maybe I didnt notice.

 

I experienced this moment fairly early into the game. We'd only just started flirting and I was earning his approval like crazy.

 

 

You'll notice he saved me at least twice with last minute barriers and then sacrificed himself to keep me alive.

I'm at home waiting for someone to come by so I'm passing time by drawing. Started working on a new piece. It's not anywhere near finished but I'm feeling optimistic about it, thus far.  I will call it "Shirtless Solas covered in paint." The title is just so deep, amirite?

My Garrus one has lasted several years, so I suppose it's hit or miss?  I hope they come out with the race cards because as others have said - the female elf card is gorgeous.  I'm tempted on the Dorian lithograph, too, but I have no wall space and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a group shot.  Not a huge fan of the Solas "The Mind" image that I'm thinkin' will be released as a litho.

Solas is intelligent. He knows that the Inquisitor is the only one who can stop Corypheus and close the Breach. If they die, they can't stop him. For all that he'll sacrifice important pieces, the Inquisitor sacrificing themselves for Haven is noble but a pointless exercise in futility. That's why he disapproves because he values intelligence and offering to make a short term play that will inevitably doom everyone is an incredibly boneheaded move.

 

I like to think it's because he has feelings for the Inquizzy and doesn't want to see her die though.

The only Bioware shirts I have are from when they had that raffle back in...2009? I won a pack of six Dragon Age shirts. Such thin material, two or three of them have small holes throughout, while one of them has a huge one on the side. The others have held up fairly well. I wonder if the quality has gotten any better since.

I didn't know this was done on purpose? I thought I was imagining this, hahaha.
But yes, I did notice Solas' tendency to hit me with a barrier even when he could have envoped the entire rest of the team instead, all the time. It was nice
