Does Sera's parentage come up? Maybe she's a half/quarter breed?

Quizzy would most likely be full breed.

What 1/4 ancient elf or 1/4 -1/2 human- if she was part human she would be human- elves/human relationships in Thedas don't result in half elves like they often do in other video games, they result in humans who have a slightly higher likelihood of being mages than the average human but they otherwise look and act entirely human re: Alistair (Fiona is his mother).... as per being part Ancient Elf she all you have to do is look at the attitude of Abelas and Solas about modern elves and the fact that Sera was born before the Blight and the Ancient Elves only began to awake after the the Blight to know that one isn't possible.

It is probably a more anatomically realistic depiction of an archer- they tend to have wider shoulders because those are the main muscles you use to aim and shoot a bow..

It is highly likely given how we know from DA2 elves were treated in the Imperium and given how even free elves are treated throughout Thedas (e.g. both Dalish and City Elves living hand to mouth etc) that they suffer from multi-generational malnutrition - which is why their height diminished from the Ancient Elves-- it can be guessed that not all the Aristocracy/Dreamers were in Uthenera when Elvenan fell to the Imperium since some sided with the rebelling slaves of Elvenan  (like Solas) and thus followed them into slavery into the Imperium so not all modern elves would be descended from those who were slaves in Ancient Elvenan,.. it is said that the Keepers and their Seconds are typically descended from this group as well as those that ruled the Dales- at least in the more well known clans like Lavellan, Ilshae (Awakening-Velanna), and Sabrae (Origins, Merrill and Warden)

Just curious, how many of y'all headcanon Solas as dominant? I don't really, especially considering how forward Levellan is in their flirts. I think he would be passionate, yes, but not necessarily dominate. I'm biased...

Much as I've enjoyed reading fics of Dom!Solas, for me he's experienced and knows what he likes, but isn't overly dominant. I don't see him as possessive or controlling, in or out of the bedroom. I see him as confident, passionate and masculine but with a thread of vulnerability in there.

In my HC, he was delighted that Lavellan made a move on him, and quick to capitulate as he had been secretly really attracted to her, but equally he was a bit stunned and surprised that she wanted him.

I think what people are seeing as elf ears is basically the Thedas equivalent of a Darwin's Point. It doesn't show up on the tip of the ear but near the outer part of the cartilage and comes to a point. It's kind of "elfy" but it is a dominant trait that people sometimes get. I have one.

Of course, intensity and location varies. (sometimes it just looks like a little bump on the helix.

 

Moving on, I'm learning how to use my tablet and fiddling with the settings. It might take some time but I want to be drowning in the Solas art! This will help me cope until we get DLC. lol

 

Something I have been thinking about...I know you might think I'm crazy but I actually like my Inquisitor better than all of my other DA protags. Don't get me wrong; I love me some Warden Tabris but I already want to continue Lavellan's journey whereas I've let go on the others a long time ago. Does anyone else feel this way or just me?

I can't find that furry armor anywhere!! Someone said it was the Battlemage armor I think, but I got that schematic and it doesn't look like that. I'm missing so many cool armor designs.

I don't quite understand the wolf pelt and wolf skull in his concept art tbh. I mean, it's like a human wearing human skin and human skulls. Kind of creepy.

Maybe they called him the "dread wolf" because he had dreads and wore wolf pelts,instead of fancy ancient elven armor and clothing...Sounds like something a rebellious god would do. xD

I feel like it's always the player who makes the first move in Bioware games. This makes sense in the case of Solas, but why can't they have the NPCs flirt with us or something.

The robe dropped for me when I killed a dragon in... oh crap I think that is where i found it. A dragon, one of the three in the snow area. I'm pretty sure that is where I got it. I could be wrong...

YAAAASS. He seems confident in his masculinity and probably experienced (based on his age and how he adores "power, intrigue, danger, and sex" ) but I don't get an overly Dom vibe from him, lol.

Male Lavellan looks the same size as Solas when he's wearing certain armors.  In others, he looks smaller.

 

And Solas is smaller than the Sentinel elves:  I checked when I noticed how huge they are.

So I think Solas turned out to be the best romance in the game.  Judging from this thread, I'm not alone XD  I love that they made him BALD and completely "uninteresting" looking because you think you're going to be underwhelmed by him but once you meet him it's like FFFFFFFFFFHHHHH HOW and you're hooked.

It's funny, I wasn't even interested in Solas when they first announced the game.  I wasn't into the elven lore in general; my canon Warden and Hawke were both human mages, and I thought the Dalish were just sort of jerks.  I was much more invested in the mage/templar thing.  

 

Then they announce that Solas is a female elf only romance for "super story reasons," and I went, "Really?  That's unusual."  So I brushed up on my Dalish lore, read Masked Empire, and made a Lavellan for my first playthrough.  And now this stupid pajama elf has ruined everything forever and it's glorious

Once they announced you could be an elf, I knew I was playing an elf. Cos that's how I roll.

 

Once all the companions were announced, I was like..."I'm really hoping Dorian, Solas, or Cullen are available"

 

But then Dorian was gay. So it was just Solas and Cullen. And I was like, "I'll flirt with them both, see who I like better. Tho I should probably go with Solas since he's only available to female elves, so I can switch up my characters in later playthroughs..."

 

Then I went and talked to Solas for the first time in Haven and was like, "OMG he's so amazing!!!" I kept flirting with all the dudes for awhile, just cos its fun, but I pretty much knew I was going with Solas.

I mostly picked Solas for mine because I assumed with his romance options being so limited [elf/female], there would be a heavier focus on story with it. I was right! But it was no where near what I was expecting. Solas ended up being an awesome character on his own. 

 

I actually lurked this thread when the first leaks started to happen about Solas's role in the game. At first it was something like 'he's a traitor', and I thought "Well, that's dangerously like Anders but I can roll with it." Then there was mentions of the Dread Wolf, and no one completely believed it. 

 

It was super exciting reading the posts and figuring things out. I haven't really been active on BSN since the end of ME3. Very nice to be back and have something to talk about!
