Is there a difference in how the Companions cards looks during the game? I romanced Solas but I haven't seen any big differences. But I think Dorian's changed since he's now my 'friend'.

What options did you pick during the break up?
When I tried angry then sad option I never got the post break up dialogue. Almost all the others have it though.
I did confused then sad. I think it might be bugged, then, because I tried a couple of other combos, and it seemed kind of random which ones had the follow up.
Also, I ended up sad! I want to be able to go yell at him a little at Skyhold, too! ![]()

I know people were talking pages ago this morning about how quickly Solas succumbs to passion with the Inquisitor.
I thought about that, and actually... it makes a tremendous amount of sense, even if it's not actually how he normally behaves.
Here's my take on why:
TL;DR?
Basically it's because he's been in the Fade for so long, deprived of actual person-to-person social contact. Spirits aren't quite the same. And then when he wakes, everyone is unfriendly because flat-ear or elven apostate. His culture is shattered; the remnant Dalish are just sad shadows of what once was. The world isn't recognizeable. But then Lavellan shows him curiosity, she shows him friendship, respect, affection. It's like restoring a Tranquil; he can't help himself. All that emotion, all the rush of being really HUMAN (or ELVEN in his case) and ALIVE and in the REAL WORLD has come back to him.
So even if he normally would be reserved in a relationship, I think he doesn't quite have the restraint, given the circumstances.

Also yes, 4-6 months is usually the time frame for a DLC or at the very least an announcement.

His should change quite a bit if you've done the committed relationship bit. Does it look like this?

This makes the idea of a playthrough where Solas hates you even more depressing. At least he makes other friends in the Inquisition.
Edit: Also, I don't mind the idea of Flemeth and Solas being past lovers. That would be incredibly interesting. As long as they aren't still together in some weird way if he falls in love with Lavellan, I'm cool with it. Definitely makes for a good story.

I'm sure that one or more of us have speculated correctly the path they are going with. I would be surprised if they come out with something completely unexpected that still makes sense.

Out of likes, but 100% agreed. He seems so astonished at every turn of the romance to find the Inquisitor there, loving him, being with him.

I mean, we guessed at least once or twice in the past that Solas wasn't just connected to Fen'Harel but WAS Fen'Harel. We dismissed it with some laughs but it's pretty likely that somebody on here hit the nail on the head already about where they plan to go with Solas.

Ugh. Hopefully just a red herring for the whole nutbag-crazy Flemythal = Andraste / Solas = Shartan = Andraste's lover theory. Ugggh.

I know adult characters having past lovers is perfectly fine and normal, but I'd really their past lover not be someone they run to and act intimate with right after they dumped and ditched my Inquisitor.
edit - I can see it now, Hawke and Lavellan comparing their threesomes.

I wish I had more likes! : (
But I definitely agree. I also think that at one point, he sees her as something else, not just someone who was kind to him when hardly anyone else was, but something special (like he says so).
Edit--
@Nightwolf- about Flemeth/mythar and Solas? Yeah, and I also don't see it as likely. I think we caught a glimpse of friendship, if not a motherly/son type of thing (not just because of the way Flemeth looks, but because of how they each behave).

I'm still siding with Mythal being his mother, or at least a mother figure. [But I won't mind either way.]
Also, she can bond with Flemeth over how their children are always trying to kill them.

I think there's already interest there, on his part. He does mention noticing her from the Fade. How long was he watching, exactly? What were his thoughts? We don't know, other than that he feels she's special and unique. Maybe he feels like she's more akin to his people than anyone else, but who can say? What's clear is that through the romance she's offering him something familiar, an "Anchor" of another sort, as it were, and much as he knows it's a bad idea, because he hates the world he's woken up to and wants to change it and that means losing her anyway... he can't help himself. She's like a life float in the middle of a stormy sea, and as far as he can see there isn't any other flotsam around to grab hold of.

Well, it would be awkward since Flemythal and Fen'harel predate Andraste by a significant period of time. So unless they fought the Tevinter Imperium to free the slaves, I'm inclined to go with no. However, it does kick my brain into "nope!" territory. Solas has enough to make up for without using the Inquisitor as a replacement for a previous relationship. ![]()
