For the dialogue where he says he made a mistake by trusting his friends and he mentions carving every angel from her face, I believe it isn't actually referring to an individual. I think he is just giving the female gender to that mistake. I'll look to see if I can find the actual quote, but for me, I got the impression he was calling trusting his friends a mistake a she the same way one might call a country or a ship or justice a she.

@Nightwolf-I feel the same way! I can take my Inquisitor being left because Solas thinks he has to do this on his own or because he wants to protect her, and I don't care if he's had a past (which I'm sure he has given a certain line.....But I'd hate to find out he's called another "his heart". I think at that point, I'd just completely stop romancing him in my following playthroughs because the depth of his words would almost lose their weight.

I don't think people need to worry too much about love triangles, even if they do bring up past relationships. There's just so much drama already in the romance that adding in a conflict like that would be a bit melodramatic. If anything is going to break Solas/Lavellan up, it will because Solas goes too far and becomes unredeemable in her eyes. 

 

Agreed.  There's only so much drama you can put into a storyline without it feeling hamfisted, and Patrick Weekes has already handled Solas's story so thoughtfully and subtly.  I think we'll be fine, at least in this regard.  We might be a mess of tears and anguish, but it'll be a good story.

I agree with this. At one point, it just becomes too much.  

 

At any rate, Solas and Lavellan technically are broken up, aren't they? His last line to her just breaks my heart all over again... But I hope it's not permament. A girl can dream, right?

I found a couple in the Forbidden Oasis when I went hunting Venatori, so does the Hinterlands. Find them where they are dense. The Exalted Plains has them too spread out.

It doesn't matter who you romance they will always comment. They loved that my human quizzing fell for Cullen and they were disappointed that my elf quizzing was romancing Solas.

While I'd like to say Solas and Lavellan are usually more circumspect, the way he talks about the Winter Ball...hnnnngh.  Off to furiously try and finish that smut.

Well starting my third play through...... I got no life and I'm sucker for Solas... Or is there any other romance worth doing? I done Solas and IB, could not resist 50 shades of bull LOL but once enough....
