I'm going to cry (on the inside) if I ever encounter Cole cosplayers while I'm Sera because then I'll have to ignore them. (Just kidding, I probably will and then be like 'screw this! We should take pictures like we're friends!' I'll be surprised IF I encounter any Cole cosplayers in general due to where I live.) I'm still hoping Sera warms up to him like Aveline with Isabella. Or I find out she has a darn good reason to just flat out give him the cold shoulder.

And hm... I wonder how Sera and Solas' interactions will be like. Given, I guess if she is mean to Cole in front of Solas then Solas will not appreciate that.

And yeah Solas seems like he will like Cole too much to let Sera be a jerk to him.

He'll probably antedate her with fade technobabble in retaliation. All with done calmly, with a straight face and a slight insult that she won't realize is an insult until later.

@Cat Lance - you mentioned being wary of Cullen being even more hardened by the events in Kirkwall. David just posted a comment on a short fan fiction that you might find encouraging in that regard and I just wanted to share it for you (and anyone else who may feel the same).

I suspect that Solas will not treat your Inquisitor like a child as long as your inquisitor doesn't act like a child. And even then, it may make for some amusing banters in game!

Since Solas is open minded I hope he'll be capable of trying to understand why Sera might feel that way about Cole. You don't change people's minds by telling them how to think or insulting their intelligence. I personally don't see any reason not to be wary of Cole, and even though I'm not a fan of how Sera chooses to react, I think it makes sense for the character so it doesn't bother me. However, I would also be suspicious of Solas if he isn't shown to be cautious around spirits (including Cole).

I understand. I mean most of the group will probably be initially suspicious of Cole. It seems like Sera is harboring a bit more dislike against him since she was primarily pointed out, along with Vivienne to not like Cole for what he is. I do hope they get along, but it is going to be pretty funny in my opinion to hear Sera and Cole's arguing. Solas could have some initial suspicion, but they are said to get along so I do not think it will last long if there is any. Solas is a Fade expert and is considered to be intelligent so he will no doubt make sure Cole is safe enough to be around then befriend him, but I just cannot picture Solas standing by while Cole is being insulted for what he is. From what we know of Sera so far I am looking forward to seeing her in the game. She sounds interesting.

Allegedly, the other party members will tease the character romancing the Inquisitor. Because I usually get around to romancing every option I can't wait to see what Solas does with Sera:

Sera: Look, I know you don't like company around while you do your Fade buggery. But the boss wants someone around just in case someone tries to hit you upside the head with a blade.

Solas: I was going to ask if you wanted some reading material for while you wait? There should be one of Varric's novels in my pack.

Sera: What's your angle baldy?

Solas: No angle, keeping your surface thoughts focused will greatly speed the process.

Sera: Oh...uh, thanks.

Solas: No, thank you. Any day I don't get accosted by desire demons or witness your memories is a good day.

I don't think it's as simple as Cole being a spirit who wants to do the right thing. He wanted to do the right thing in Asunder, and in order to do so used "dark" magic he had difficulty controlling. I wouldn't say it's outside of the realm of possibility that he could be a danger or lose himself when using that magic. Especially if he has the mind of a child. 

 

Anyway, my initial point was that I don't see Cole as a woobie, and would be distrustful of Solas if he isn't shown to be cautious. But it may create some interesting conflicts if Solas' friendship with Cole makes him less objective.

Back to topic though, I do find Solas probably the most interesting character as we haven't seen a lot of Elven Apostates who aren't Dalish. I'm willing to bet that he is the blood mage of the group.

It was probably just really unlucky timing   House Lannister might've just been caught in the mod clean-up that happened when people were trolling (I wasn't around at the time but I saw some posts that made it sound like they were).

By the way, why is everyone referring to Solas as Nosferatu ? Solas looks much more like an Elven Charles Xavier with 2 functional legs.

Wow that's a bit harsh on House Lannister   for one little Nosteratu pic.  We all know he doesn't actually look like him but if the Police put out a criminals description 'bald with pointy ears' they're probably both going to get lifted 

 

@House Lannister  I'm kind of hoping there's no blood mage in the group but that it might be something a mage inquisitor can acquire on their travels, similar to DAO.
