Well, technically it's 80% elemental resistance. 20% for each element.

My Lavellan had the Mythal tattoos and drank from the Well. I have never been so pleased with the choices I made in the CC before.

Where did you find these?  There's a few bugs I'm having and I want to know if they'll be fixed.  Some are Solasbugs, too.

Pride demon.  I had the impression someone became a Pride abomination and they sealed it there until you unlock it (and have to fight it).

 

But I was hoping it had something to do with Solas, and I always thought it had to have some sort of significance to the story.  Maybe in DLC...

I am curious about what Solas' original plan was with Cory and/or the foci. 

I'm like 95% sure

Solas allowed Cory to have the foci because he was still too weak to power up the foci himself, since he'd been in uthenera for, presumably, thousands of years. So he needed someone else to power it up. It's likely he wasn't expecting Cory to be able to actually use the foci, or he was planning on somehow stealing it back once Cory had powered it up... but then things went to crap super fast, as they're wont to do. As for his plans for the foci itself... I'm assuming he needed it to "fix" things. Whatever "fixing" things would entail, we're not sure.

 

ALSO, regarding Kieran's "ancient blood" comment-

 

You only get that comment from him if he's an OGB. If he's a regular human/elf-blooded/dwarf-blooded child, he just laughs and agrees with you that your ears are funny looking or something. It's cute. lol

Well, it was pretty elaborate not to come into play later. I mean the quest takes forever. To just be a pride demon an elemental resist.
We shall see. However, I'm gonna run with my theory until I'm told I'm sooo wrong. Which will happen more than likely.

Where did you find these?  There's a few bugs I'm having and I want to know if they'll be fixed.  Some are Solasbugs, too.

There doesn't seem to be any plot reason for it. After you do the whole thing, you basically get 20% resistance to every element attack.

 

Which was kind of a leftdown when I completed it AFTER killing all the dragons. I swear, there better be a DLC boss fight where someone just goes crazy throwing elemental attacks at you.

 

That's the metagame reason, yeah- but there's definitely something more to the place in game.  Solas theorizes (and as we've learned, quite a few of his so-called theories are just 'this is how it is, but I don't feel like explaining how I know this") that it's essentially a test, which is underscored a bit by the related quest titles: Fire Captured, Cold Endured, Spirit Calmed.  Also, the crazy shard-doors.  There was something in that tomb that either people wanted to keep in, or that wanted "unworthy" people kept out, or both.  Probably the spirit/elven version of jail, back when there wasn't much difference between the two.

 

Suspicious bits:  Solas has a shard in "his area" of the keep, not-so-subtle references to Pride plus his dodginess while translating, and when you enter the final room, I think I remember him commenting on how odd the tomb was (accurate, didn't match architecture elsewhere) and pondering whether there were more like it in the world.  Flavor text, or subtle nudge?  No idea.

I wasn't even aware one of Solas' personal quests didn't work until just the other day...  Probably not the only one, so people won't report what they don't know about.  I did wonder why he didn't seem to have as many quests as the others.

If a male warden was in a romance with Morrigan and refuses the ritual then she'll have a human baby.  He even got an epilogue in DAO and it's an option in the Keep.

My dwarf and lavellan were both called shemlen.

I mean, it can't be a coincident that its the temple of pride and that's the same name Fen'harel goes by. Things in dragon age don't just happen like that. Plus, it was high level crazy and they put it all there for a reason. Not just to be some joe elf smo who became a pride demon. There are better ways of dealing with demons than creating a crazy ass puzzle.

Like stabbing them.

Ahhh Makes sense. I've never played a male character for more than a few hours. It makes me feel weird when there's the option to be female.

I just interpreted Shemlen as being an intentional insult. My Lavellan was like "oh no he didn't!"
