I told Leliana if she doesn't enjoy what she does, there's something wrong, and she let the guy live. I'll still push for Cassandra to become Divine though - I feel like Leliana is too close to the issue, if that makes sense?
Is there any way to avoid that she becomes crazy if you decided not to interfere? Because that's what my Lavellan did. She was just thrown into this whole situation, so I figured it would be best if she let Leliana do her thing as long as she isn't in charge yet. ._.

Haha, my Lavellan was like "WTF NO BAD SPYMASTER BAD." But in a nicer way. XD

I let him kill the mages. It was their utter lack of repentance that sealed it; she didn't think they would ever even try to grasp that they had tortured and imprisoned a /person/, not some random bit of energy. His friend; his decision.
I stopped Solas from killing the mages, but as a rule I'm against death as a form of punishment. Besides, they were ignorant and had no malicious intent, so they weren't deserving of that fate IMO.
I can see how both ways make sense depending on your own viewpoints and/or how you roleplay your Lavellan.
Well, I don't know about their relationship specifically but I can think of two songs that would remind me of Solas and the inquisition.
God Help The Outcasts from Hunchback. Lyrics below:
Spoiler
Esmeralda
I don't know if You can hear me
Or if You're even there
I don't know if You would listen
To a gypsie's prayer
Yes, I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see Your face and wonder...
Were You once an outcast too?
God help the outcasts
Hungry from birth
Show them the mercy
They don't find on earth
God help my people
We look to You still
God help the outcasts
Or nobody will
Parishioners
I ask for wealth
I ask for fame
I ask for glory to shine on my name
I ask for love I can posess
I ask for God and His angels to bless me
Esmeralda
I ask for nothing
I can get by
But I know so many
Less lucky than I
Please help my people
The poor and downtrod
I thought we all were
The children of God
God help the outcasts
Children of God
I really like "God Help The Outcasts" and I especially like it for my Lavellan because it emphasizes her journey so well. Part of the reason why she acquiesces to being the Herald of Andraste so quickly is because she sees this as a chance to help the Dalish. Her friendship with both Sera and Solas help her widen her view to look past the other elves. The City Elves become her people too. Over the course of the game, she keeps encountering people who could be helping the other elves, like Solas, Sera, Briala, Abelas, and Flemeth who could be helping them, aiding them in the recovery their history, helping their lost people find themselves again but are willing to see them languish for some other goal.
She actually yells at Abelas and Flemythal over it.
I think this is why her breakup with Solas hurts her heart so much. It's not just that he's leaving her, but she thought she'd finally gotten him convinced to help her help her fellow elves. She's all "we keep trying to make the world a better place, we'll do it together" and then...
It also works really well for Solas and him "being open to new ideas" about the Maker.
I have a question for all of y'all. So that conversation in Fade-Haven, in the very beginning when the Inquisitor says upon load: "Why here?" and he says: "Haven is familiar, it will always be important to you." and then the Inquisitor says, kind of brusquely, "We've already talked about that." And then we're in the prison cell.
My question is about the Inquisitor's second line, because it made no sense to me. It just seemed kind of neither here nor there. We've already talked about what? That Haven is familiar? But he only just said that one time--in response to the Inquisitor's question--not like he kept repeating it over and over to the point where I have to say, "We've already talked about that." Is this an audio glitch I have where a line or two is getting cut off here?

I kept expecting the mercy my Lavellan showed people to bite her in the ass. But it never did. Which just encourages her to be even more sweet and forgiving. Poor Solas with his vengeful streak...he has no idea what to make of her.
That HAS to get her in trouble at some point, right? This is BioWare and more specifically Dragon Age we're talking about.

I get it too and I just assumed it was sort of weird in that way because it's technically a dream, so some things maybe don't make sense or maybe seem abrupt.

I think the idea is that the dream is in medias res; we the player only see a portion of it, but presumably they've been talking and dreaming for a little while now.
Well if you are on PC and can wait to patch, I would. Seems it's pretty terrible over on the thread. Also: don't read the thread. It hurts.
Yeah, it will cause graphical issues such as shiny hair, complexions 'missing' (no freckles), no scars, etc. It seems that the patch made everyone play on low settings, even if you've got everything on ultra settings.
So do not patch y'all. I think you need to run Origin in offline mode to avoid patching, but I am not entirely sure how that works.

Thank you for the warning! That was close, I was just starting Origins.

Thank you very much for the heads up! I'll hold off until the patch fixes things rather than breaking them.

Yep, I play on high setting and she has shiny hair... it looks like in their effort to eliminate the shiny hair problem for the lower graphic settings, everyone get shiny hair
