If immortality can't be given up, it would be nice if the anchor could do strange things to her lifespan. Or maybe if the magic comes back, all of it, the elves will become immortal again problem solved.

I might be wrong, but I think the only Solas-specific dialogue that uses the knowledge perks is in All New, Faded for Her.  It uses the arcane knowledge dialogue option.

 

I swear. I took the arcane knowledge perk and when I get to that part in the quest where I can use it, I was confused. Like, how does my archer know this? But I knew how that worked from reading The Masked Empire, so without hesitation started breaking the stones. It amused me greatly.

 

And then after taking all the other knowledge perks I had to figure my Lavellan learned a lot of stuff about things because she would deal with other races and cultures for the clan, and then when at Skyhold she raided the library to learn more. She sort of needed to considering she was leading this massive group of everyone and had a lot consider in everyday dealings.

The raven (underworld) and the arcane knowledge perk are the two most useful early in game, so I grab them first. (You can recruit Ritts without Varric. ) Nobility only has the least from what I've seen ironically underworld is more useful at the Winter Ball than noble. History too.

I've actually found nobility to be very useful, mostly in the later portions. I know I used it at least 4 times last playthrough, once after Sera's quest with the noble, where I used it to make the noble join the inquisition and shut Sera up. God, I hate Sera.

I took all the knowledge perks first because that's also how I figured my Lavellan adjusted to being Inquisitor.  She had to learn a lot of information in a very short period of time.  Also, I love the mental image of her following Cass around, pestering her about the Andrastianism and the Chantry and taking notes.

I like Sera a lot, but she and my Lavellan really grew apart toward the latter half of the game.  I feel like the Inquisitor, especially if you play a younger character, has to mature very quickly under pressure.  Sera just never seems to grow up.

I think it's because this survey was taken after most people had just gotten the chance to do a single playthrough. I can see a lot of people going for Cass and Cullen first because they'd been waiting for them for so long. But I've seen a lot of people talk about how they rolled a female lavellan for solas after seeing the ending.

 

I also think the people who did Solas's romance and liked him as a character have become very vocal about how much they like him in order to perhaps persuade the devs to release DLC for him and our quizzies.   And hey, it might work. After all, fan demand is what got them to make Garrus a love interest in ME2.

 

Theres also that he's race and gender locked.

From what they have there Females characters are a minority to females, then Elves are a minority to humans. Its like if Scout Harding was romancable and locked to male dwarves only then her percentages would for sure be lower.

The fact that he's ahead of Blackwall and Iron Bull, the two male options were were originally suppose to have is pretty good on its own.

 

(Im not the best at math so i may be derping hard here but I'm fairly confident I'm not making a complete idiot of myself)

Using their percentages:

If there were 500 players

(500x0.2954) 147.7 would be elven.

Of those 147.7 elves 66.74563 would be female. (147.7x0.4519)

So with their percentages only 13.35% of players are even in a position to romance Solas, yet Solas is 7.49% of all romances. 

 

So. 500 players with 7.59% romancing Solas. (500 x 0.0759) means that 37.95 players of that romanced Solas.

So. 37.95 players romanced, divided by the players that can romance him (66.74563) gives a percentage of 56.86

Which means 56.86% of the players with the romance available chose to romance him. This isn't completely accurate as some people choose their race/gender specifically to romance a certain character, however considering his romance was added in late and a fair number of players create characters they want to play before choosing their romance the number of people that choose to romance Solas when possible is still pretty impressive. It is particularly impressive to me because according to many of you this topic started booming after release, which means there probably were a fair number of players that were not interested in romancing Solas, or Solas as a character. This means that a fair number of players that did not initially intend romance Solas (or had no particular romance in mind but had the right requirements) ended up doing so.

As for the Warden, mine is off trying to fix the Calling, but according to the epilogue whomever you send to Weisshaupt (romanced Warden!Alistair in my game) drops off the radar. 

 

No, no, NO, BioWare.  This is not DONE.  Amell and Alistair are my only happy couple left in Dragon Age.  Hawke's dead, Anders is probably nuts, and Lavellan's boyfriend turned out to be a god who walked out on her.  Just let me have Alistair and the Warden.  PRETTY PLEASE.

 

I guess I should consider myself lucky my elf Warden made Alistair king. I was kind of bummed that he hardly showed up in DA:I, but I guess he and my Warden are still happily together.

 

My Hawke and Anders are still happily together, too. Tho if Lavellan ever meets Hawke again, they're going to compare notes on their crazy boyfriends.
