I really wonder what Abelas is going to do now that the Well is no more. Solas did say something mysterious "your people yet longer" I think it was. I take it that means more really, really old elves that are supposed to be "in their 40s" but don't look it. I wonder if he'll find them.

I don't know. Iron Bull commented on my freaky elf eyes. Though that might just be because I didn't romance him.
I think the hip swaying helps too. Because my goodness. So much hip swaying. I try to ignore it most of the time, then my fiance points it out. And then we have an awkward staring at the hip swaying moment.
I actually like the fact that although they will romance Lavellan, they're not necessarily into her. Like Iron Bull, and Sera. Though I do still kind of want to write about Solas and Sera fighting over her a little. Just a little. I was disappointed in the lack of jealousy dialogue.
Also kinda disappointed in the lack of acknowledgement for the romance. I miss the teasing about it from Origins.
I'd also love to hear Sera's names for the non-romanced Inquisitor come up in banters. "Look at her gracious lady bits go!"
What does Bull say about elf eyes? Haha, I'm gonna romance him with a dude Lavellan, I need to know these things!
Also I did like Sera's little comment to Solas if she's romancing fem Lavellan: "Why, you fancy her too?"

Completely off topic, but I'm glad Istimaethoriel seems to be a last name and Deshanna her first. Cause when talking to Viv Lavellan called her Keeper Deshanna. And I was so happy because I can pronounce Deshanna and spell it without having to look it up. I did spell it right, didn't I? ****.
The Dalish don't really seem to have a proper surname; it seems like they use the name of the clan. I do wonder why Lavellan provides a different name to Vivienne than the one provided in the codex, and at the Bioware website.

I think the comment about the freaky elf eyes comes up if you take all of the dialogue options about Krem. He gets protective, it's sweet. I've never taken all of the dialogue options about Krem since then. Because the things that come out of the Inquisitor's mouth are just.. Kinda rude? I like Krem, and I think there should've been a little more tactful of dialogue for asking about him.
I wish that comment had come up before the romances locked in. It's a shame. I'll have to remember that for my fanfic. I didn't realize she teased Solas about Lavellan. ![]()

I can see my Lavellan seeking Abelas out as well, though not necessarily leaving the Inquisition. Girl wants to know more of what happened to the elves of the past, learn - and perhaps unlearn - some of their lost culture.
Ah, and now after reading pages upon pages of the thread (you guys rock!), I'm feeling torn about the decision at the Well of Sorrows now. In the moment, I felt like my Lavellan was just so desperately clinging to any knowledge of their heritage, and losing the Well would mean losing centuries of pretty much that. She felt like Abelas wanting to destroy the thing was wasteful and selfish. But now in retrospect... maybe it would've been better that that knowledge was lost, knowing how the demise of the elves was their own doing?
Some things to ponder for my second run...
I actually headcanon it the other way around. He seeks her out. Something about the idea that he found other ancient elves but the idea of staying left him unsatisfied and Lavellan's needling him not doing enough for "their" people when they met has stuck with him. He remembers Solas telling him that he hopes he finds a new name and goes off to find it. He goes to Skyhold because he doesn't know where else to go and Lavellan, who showed herself worthy at the Well whether she drank or not, is best able to help him understand. I don't know, the idea of there being at least one ancient character who doesn't need to be prodded back out of obscurity really appeals to me. Or maybe it's just a character taking up some personal responsibility even if he's one character who has truly earned his rest.
Food for thought, at least.
I'd prefer it if Solas came back, but I am a fan of torturing him until he gets there. (Puts Sera and Vivienne in the party. Muwahahahaha.

I'm deliberately taking Sera AND Solas around with me in my current playthrough, so that every time Sera is mean to Solas, I just look at the screen going 'That's what you get for breaking my Lavellan's heart!'
When I triggered the interactable Solas-romance specific banter with Sera a few days ago, I took the option to just laugh rather than tell Sera to stop taunting Solas because... pre-emptive revenge for when he breaks up with Lavellan... lol ![]()

Ohhh, I really like that headcanon! Abelas seeking Lavellan out is... very interesting. It makes sense for him to seek out "kindred spirits" seeing how impressed he can be with Lavellan depending on how respectful she was at the Temple.
Why isn't this in the game?? This should've been in the game!! ![]()

Ah, I see. I'm a sucker for dialogue options too -- even if it feels like I'm being rude, or interrogating somebody, lol. My PC needs to know ALL THE THINGS that irl I'd slap myself for asking.
