I just don't like the thought of Abelas wandering around alone, his ancient purpose gone and done now that someone took the well's power. Poor guy. That's why I like the idea that he seeks the Inquisitor back out! I wish he'd stayed in Skyhold, after I'm pretty sure I saw one of the ancient elves there later on.

I'm deliberately taking Sera AND Solas around with me in my current playthrough, so that every time Sera is mean to Solas, I just look at the screen going 'That's what you get for breaking my Lavellan's heart!'
When I triggered the interactable Solas-romance specific banter with Sera a few days ago, I took the option to just laugh rather than tell Sera to stop taunting Solas because... pre-emptive revenge for when he breaks up with Lavellan... lol
That's what I meant. Put him in a party with Vivienne and Sera! They're entertaining when they go at it and when they go after him.
It's the hilarious party from hell! Dorian's pretty good too.
Ohhh, I really like that headcanon! Abelas seeking Lavellan out is... very interesting. It makes sense for him to seek out "kindred spirits" seeing how impressed he can be with Lavellan depending on how respectful she was at the Temple.
Why isn't this in the game?? This should've been in the game!!

The more I look at that armor the more I am convinced that it is basically the male version of the chainmail bikini. Because...c'mon. Just look at it. Tight all over, emphasizes the shoulders and upper body while maintaining a smooth line, emphasizes the groin. Seriously, that is some sexy, sexy armor.

Hahaha poor Solas must be sitting there thinking, why do you all hate me?! I haven't even dumped you yet, Lavellan!

So true. Still, from a mechanics standpoint he and Vivienne work together very well. Rift Mage and KE is a killer combo. ![]()

Solas's TVTropes entry is huuuuuge! And growing every day!
Ah, I see. I'm a sucker for dialogue options too -- even if it feels like I'm being rude, or interrogating somebody, lol. My PC needs to know ALL THE THINGS that irl I'd slap myself for asking.
Yeah, it's an interesting little conversation!
Spoiler
I must know all the things. I can't help it. Natural curiousity. Then the game has something awful and judgemental sounding come out of Lavellan's mouth about Krem. And I was just like. "NOOOO. I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY THAT. I TAKE IT BACK!"
It was weird because it didn't look like a judgemental line at first. But the thing that came out of her mouth was so rude.
Poor Solas. He tries so hard to make sense of Sera. And she actively tries to prevent him from understanding. I bet it drives him nuts. ![]()
It's weird that Lavellan seems so much more private with her relationships than other Inquisitors. Like Cole's commentary about Iron Bull's sex life with the Quizzy. Or Blackwall's openly public displays of affection. Or Cullen admitting the relationship publicly, and having pda with the Quizzy. When it comes to Sera, and Solas, Lavellan just.. Doesn't want to mention anything about her relationships privately. It's a little strange.

What does he say after your Lavellan laughs?
Ahh I can't remember exactly... I think Sera was teasing him, asking if him and the Inquisitor where doing it to repopulate the elven empire or something, and you can either choose to tell Sera to be quiet or laugh. My Inquisitor just laughed, I think Solas sighed and said they where both being ridiculous or something but ehh I can't completely remember ![]()

The Solas romance is far less conventional, much more intellectual and personal than the others, So, I'm not surprised (in fact, rather pleased) it's treated the way it is in banter and so on. I doubt Solas would be attracted to someone who feels the need to flaunt, gossip, and giggle about her private dealings.

This my have been covered but... I've been thinking about the elven artifacts and their functions. They give you XP, Solas approval, and a bit of influence. Three wonderful side benefits.
The nature of the artifacts is curious, though. Solas claims they strengthen the veil, and I'm sure that's what they do when they are activated by the Inquisitor (perhaps there are other effects, too... various other effects, you can imagine), but I say they may have other functions because a demon, the Highest One, was sealed in an elven artifact. It can't be activated after defeating him. It's also in the Lost Temple of Dirthamen, if any of you would like to take a look. And it'd be another indicator to Lavellan, or any other Inquisitor, that there's something up with Solas, 'cause hey, there's an elven artifact!but what--a demon was sealed inside???? i thought they only strengthened the veil
of course, none of this matters if the artifact was put there just to look pretty

Yeah, I'm of a mind to think everything Solas does/suggests/says has multiple layers and motivations, those pesky artifacts included!

I think given what we find out about Solas in the end it's very likely he has some kind of ulterior (not necessarily evil) motive with the artefacts. But I also think it's possible Bioware just put them in there to pad out the game a bit more
They do turn up in some weird places though

Yeah, they do. Like the one in the Forbidden Oasis that's on the very highest point on the map. Except for the one that's by the Fen'harel shrine in the Exalted Plains (near the dragon), that one is just trolling... I mean foreshadowing. ![]()

Reminds me of collecting the shards... hardest one for me was in the Hinterlands, in the dragon area. The one on the top of the stone structure. had to jump up there to only fall off. >__>

I hated that one I finally had to use Sera to jump up there (that rogue agility score I guess) and had to order to rest of the party to stand utterly still -defend defend don't move just defend

It's a good point. But he doesn't seem like he's trying to hide the relationship either.
I wasn't suggesting that they do something obnoxious about it. But tasteful mentions of the romance would be nice.
Eh. Everyone has their own feelings on the matter. I'm going to go back to studying before I get jumped again for saying that I would like more Solas interaction. Because with the small amount of romance content he has, it feels like there should be more, either in banter or actual dialogue.

it seemed in character and to be honest it just made me burst out laughing at the mental image of it, I think there's actual a prompt about it on the kinkmeme (which really doesn't surprise me at all haha)
