But, until then, I feel I must leave you with this song, "Somewhere Only We Know" by Lily Allen. I picked this version because the female voice lends itself to Lavellan. In my head, it is perfect for the way she must feel afterwards. After all, you don't just forget a love like that. I imagine she walks the woods, the paths, the Fade. She's got to hang on to something...
Gah, I'm too sappy for my own good.http://youtu.be/e5mfVD5kiCA
Ooooh, this works really well. Never heard the Lily Allen version before.
The problem with all the DA games taking place in the same decade, give or take, is that there are still heroes all over the place and no real reason those heroes wouldn't get involved with something that threatened the world/all of Thedas.
That's what's really gonna be the problem going forward. Dragon Age has Too Many Heroes syndrome. And people feel very protective of their previous protagonists and love interests and companions. So you've got this enormous cast that you have to add to every game, and in order to please people you have to budget in cameos and returning characters. I think it'd be best to have one more game with the Inquisition, use this entire cast you've built up, and then do another 15/20-year timeskip or something.
