I killed Hawke b/c I never got around to playing DA2 >_> So I didn't have any attachment. I'm planning on try to do a full run through of DA through DA:I this Christmas break though, so maybe I'll reconsider it for my next DAI play.

I really wish we could tell if he had red hair or not. I know his concept art has him with dark brown hair but the freckles and eyebrows make him look more gingery. Imagine him with a mop of curly red hair xD

I'm such a sucker for giving love to characters that have gone without for so long and feel like they have nothing left to lose. It's why my heart hurts for poor Abelas, who has literally lost everything he's tried to protect for so long.

I really hope that they will reconsider not making expansions. It seems like the best way for us Solas fans to get closure while having enough material to set up for the next Dragon Age.

They said in an interview that making Awakenings took too much money/work. But they said in the same interview that they were going to be listening to fan feedback and basing DLC on that feedback.

 

All the feedback I've seen is begging for an expansion. So we'll see. I'm hoping for a middle-ground at least, of several stand-alone DLCs with an overarching story.

I have to say, Solas and the wolf trope has certainly sparked some fun ideas in the fan base. I read this earlier and i loved it  :

I never really understood why someone had to stay behind. Should have all just run like hell. 

 

Me neither.  It was pretty senseless.  I agree with whoever wrote in a different thread that they spent more time deciding the "sacrifice" and saying goodbyes than the time Hawke/Stroud/Loghain/Alistair saved them by holding the line.  They really all could have made it if they just ran straight ahead instead of stopping like, "Oh, someone has to die"

Better, I agree. Wolves aren't actually loners, despite the popular "lone-wolf" thing. Perhaps he was more spirited and troublesome in his youth--which tends to happen--but he still doesn't add up with the old Dalish tales.

You might have to do a little digging depending on how much its passed around but its worth it to give artists their due. I don't art but if someone passed around my drabbles and stuff I certainly would want credit, so I imagine artists feel the same.

I don't mind not having an awakening style expansion tbh. As if they did that they would really only get 1 story DLC. As I have a number of ideas for story dlc, including of course 'wolf hunt', we should see more smaller stories that add to inquistion. Witch-hunt and Legacy style DLC is perfect size IMO
