I know this has been discussed at length already, but I don't think I ever actually put my thoughts forward on this thread. I think there's a very good chance Solas will be an LI. There's a chance he won't be, sure, that might have something to do with some plot point we don't know about yet, but, his chances are as good, if not better than, the other male companions.
As many have mentioned, Blackwall seems to be the oldest of our companions, and with the taint potentially placing him very close to his Calling it seems too potentially tragic (not that it was an issue with the Thane romance in ME, but still...) to make him one.
Varric is still hung up on Bianca in DA2, and the devs have hinted that it might get resolved in Inquisition, so... unless they find a way to handle it really well, it would be weird to go from seeing that happen in the game, along with whatever emotional impact that will have on Varric, to us propositioning him for a relationship.
And Iron Bull, is well, The Bull. I can definitely see him being a fling, or even a 'friends with benefits' sort of deal, but with him still being a follower of the Qun (even if he's a bit casual with it), it seems unlikely he would be open to a committed relationship, especially with someone not willing to convert. Unless he ends up rejecting the Qun? It's a possibility, but even then it seems odd that he would be the only bisexual LI when he's so unconventional.
I'm not saying this is proof of anything, and I hope for the sake of their fans these guys are romanceable. I'm just saying Solas has a pretty fair shot! And yes, I'll be disappointed for a bit if he isn't but it won't be the end of the world. The game still looks amazing, and I'm fortunate enough to be a fan of Cullen as well, who I look forward to romancing just as much.
And now I'll shut up about it
and discuss Solas' feet or something some more
Really, I don't think it's weird to be barefoot sometimes. Hell, I always am at home, and don't bother putting shoes on when I run out for the mail and such (and I live in the city). Ran around the suburbs I grew up in shoe-less through most of the summer. But, if I were ever in a position were I might be stepping in someone else's blood or intestines or what have you? Heavy boots are a must!
