He doesn't seem to like being a "god" very much. Not sure how much he's digging immortality either since he seems to regret almost everything. I could see him giving up immortality depending on what it entails, and if he can. I guess if all elves were once immortal it would seem unnatural for him...

I just hope there's a positive resolution. I don't like the idea of having to role play my way out of Lavellan being slighted again. I don't want to have her be "mature" and "move on". I get to do that in real life

This, this this! Yes!  A positive resolution please...tis all I want! 21 new replies while I'm typing this what the **** guys? Lmao!

I wonder how they could implement it? I can only really see it tied to losing his magic and I don't think I'd like to see his reaction to that.

He seems to have normal power levels in Inquisition. I could see them having him remain that way/revert back to that (assuming he gets his power back or the Flemeth thing did something or other).

All I could do was chuckle at this scene. It was like really you detest it yet you are still drinking it? The look on his face is priceless

When Solas tells him that there are other places with other duties. Abelas replies curiously, "Elvhen such as you?" And Solas replies. "Such as me, yes." I didn't see it the first time either. :P If I remember right, Solas is the only elf character he calls Elvhen, everyone else is shemlen.

On the subject of happy endings, I'd like one where Lavellan at least gets to give him a swift sharp kick upside the head. Solas is so unilateral with his decision to end the relationship, I feel like she deserves to get her say. On some level at least. I'm personally a fan of the concept that the Foci and her jaunt through the Fade got her immortality back, whether that's because Ancient elves are possessed by spirits or just attuned to the Fade. Probably true for any Inquisitor, but I like that ending for my Lavellan along with her disappearing after she, Abelas, and Solas go off to try to make Thedas better for the elves.

This would definitely be my first choice as well, but I doubt they would implement such a nice ending for everyone, and hope for Thedas.  They seem to not like nice endings since DAO.  :(

Remember the first time you finished DAO?  Was that not such an excellent feeling?  I want that back!!!

So I played some more with my warrior elven lady and...

15qfb6d.jpg

This is the epitome of an arrogant grin right there.

"You don't know sh*t, Cassandra."

"Feel the burn, Seeker."

"Look at my grin, look at it!"

"Can you feel it on your skin, burning?"

"Do not even bother to deny my almighty knowledge."

Meanwhile, I imagine my Lavellan to be like "I don't get paid for this crap."

I read this on my break and literally laughed out loud, at work. XD  Everyone here probably thinks I am insane, now.  Haha!

I like the part where Abelas is involved. What?

The rest is good, too.

Thanks for your help!

I romanced him as a Mage. It did allow me to open up a few Magey type dialogue choices that I don't think that you get with a non mage? I always play a mage as my first playthrough (and sometimes multiple mages) so that is what feels more comfortable to me. I think that romancing him as a Mage also makes sense if you are into the whole "Let's go into the fade together all the time because sex."

Can you remember if they were romance specific or just general conversation?

I really don't see the immortality thing happening, though. Especially given that it'd only even be possible for elf Inquisitors.

On the subject of happy endings, I'd like one where Lavellan at least gets to give him a swift sharp kick upside the head. Solas is so unilateral with his decision to end the relationship, I feel like she deserves to get her say.

That made me think of two of the reactions you can have (the most popular ones it seems) after the Solas break-up.

"Please don't leave me, not now.  I love you."

and

"Tell me you don't care."

On the one hand, I like the first one because she actually gets to tell him she loves him, he has a very emotional reaction to her heartbreak, and it causes him to say "What we had was real" (the feeeeeeeeels) at the ending.  On the other, I feel like my Lavellan looks kind of pathetic and weak, begging this guy to stay with her after he dumped her in a really crappy way.  The body language made me kind of squirm, to be honest.  She's drawing closer to him, begging, and he pushes her back with his hands up blocking her.  I didn't like seeing my Lavellan in that state.

The second one, though, gives Lavellan some kind of dignity and power.  She gets to leave him stranded there, not the other way around.  And like the first option, Solas has an emotional reaction ("Tell me you don't care" ---"I can't do that").  Here's this guy, telling her how much he cares for her, making it really difficult for her to be able to move on.  She wants to be able to move on ("Tell me I was some casual dalliance so I can call you a coldhearted son of a b*tch and move on!").  But, after that, I see my Lavellan instantly regretting her reaction.

Ah, decisions decisions.  I'm not sure which one to pick on my current Lavellan.

Yeah, he was either still weak or hiding it for the sake of keeping his secret. I suppose if he went back to pretending to be an apostate that might work but I think I'd rather he not go back than go back and keep lying.

Waaaaaah that scene made me sad.  How can he dislike tea??? *this is my Chinese roots talking*.  No wonder he and I won't work out.

But I may know the problem: Don't drink the tea-bag stuff those are leavings, you need tea leaves.

To be fair to BW the Cullen romance ends on a nice note more or less. Heck even Blackwall can go alright by the end.

I know people complain about how much BW focuses on romances but I say bring it on! More Solas love!

I was leaning more towards the idea that he was weak from his slumber during Inquisition...and maybe if his powers went away he could stay that way rather than lose his magic (since he would hate that). Not go on pretending to be an apostate.

So I'm still struggling to find someone to help me with a commission for my story "Path of the Dreamwalker". However, in the meantime, I tried my hand at it myself. This is Solas and my protagonist, Arianwen. Would love to know what you guys think :)

EDIT: I should mention that this is just a rough sketch.

I agree, I was torn on those two. I ultimately went with the sad puppy version (Don't leave me, I love you!)  just to make him feel that much worse about what he did.

I tend to think being aggressive about it will make him feel bad, but not as bad as the sad puppy eyes-grabby thing Lavellan does when she tells him she loves him. Plus he's like "In another world..." and she's like "Why not this one!" *melts*

Ahh, yeah. I wonder what that would require in terms of story though? Some kind of sacrifice or loss associated with whatever it is he's up to? It wouldn't be as awful for him as entirely losing his magic but it would probably still be rough.

Lol.  I thought of Jurassic Park.  XD  But Pokemon would have been great!
