IMO the break up scene was such a non-break up that I had no problem going the sad, wibbly bottom lip route. If he had actually tried to push our PC away by coming up with some line like "I was mistaken...I feel nothing for you" etc, then I would have a real problem with having my Quizzie throw the L-word out there as it would look like a pathetic Hail Mary. As it stands, I want him to know what he's walking away from, and I hope he re-visits it in the Fade over, and over, and over, and over, because mutual suffering is the best kind of suffering.
I do wish that we could have chosen the "Tell me you don't care!" line later, back at Skyhold, because it's more realistic to me to settle into anger after the devastation passes.

That made me think of two of the reactions you can have (the most popular ones it seems) after the Solas break-up.
"Please don't leave me, not now. I love you."
and
"Tell me you don't care."
On the one hand, I like the first one because she actually gets to tell him she loves him, he has a very emotional reaction to her heartbreak, and it causes him to say "What we had was real" (the feeeeeeeeels) at the ending. On the other, I feel like my Lavellan looks kind of pathetic and weak, begging this guy to stay with her after he dumped her in a really crappy way. The body language made me kind of squirm, to be honest. She's drawing closer to him, begging, and he pushes her back with his hands up blocking her. I didn't like seeing my Lavellan in that state.
The second one, though, gives Lavellan some kind of dignity and power. She gets to leave him stranded there, not the other way around. And like the first option, Solas has an emotional reaction ("Tell me you don't care" ---"I can't do that"). Here's this guy, telling her how much he cares for her, making it really difficult for her to be able to move on. She wants to be able to move on ("Tell me I was some casual dalliance so I can call you a coldhearted son of a b*tch and move on!"). But, after that, I see my Lavellan instantly regretting her reaction.
Ah, decisions decisions. I'm not sure which one to pick on my current Lavellan.
I like the angry one. But then...I'm kind of an angry person >.< I love that he's forced to say that he can't tell her he doesn't care. I like being able to shove him. I just like it. He caught her unawares and hurt her, and she's cutting him off instead of giving him further power over her by showing herself in a vulnerable position like in the sad puppy version.
Also, kinda off topic, but omg I just keep getting angry every time I remember that there's no dialogue with Solas about Flemeth after meeting her. Ugh, you can't talk to anyone about it, right? Except Morrigan? You'd think the Inquisitor would be running around being all "I MET AN ELVEN GOD GUYS. GUYS. GUYS. MYTHAL GUYS."

I've only seen the rogue line, but let me tell you, that was the exact moment when I fell for him. I was expecting something of an "awkward scientist" type of romance, and after that line, I was basically just staring at my screen going "WELL THEN."
Lol. I think that's when Quizzy also focuses on him. XD She giggles at the end of it.

Yes, that's true. It's just...I like it, but I'm not sure its on the mark. I dunno. I haven't drawn anything in nearly a year, so this was my first foray into it after a very lengthy break.

Ahh, yeah. I wonder what that would require in terms of story though? Some kind of sacrifice or loss associated with whatever it is he's up to? It wouldn't be as awful for him as entirely losing his magic but it would probably still be rough.
What if doing whatever he wants to do requires him to give up part of his magic? The "something you've never seen" that sets him apart as a god? Perfect ending he gets what he wants, I get what I want - everyone is happy.
Though didn't he say something about the foci being a reserve for the powers of the gods? If his broke then maybe he can't be as powerful (I'm ignoring the Mythal issue here)

Not me. >.> Lavellan certainly does, though. Lavellan is a bit of a pervert sometimes. If the option was there she would have totally lifted it with her staff at one point hoping no one would notice. Everyone would notice. But I would never do such a thing, because nothing about my mind is perverted.

And yea - after I met Flemythal, I totally ran over to Solas to be like "Mythal! i met Mythal!" And then remembered that he dumped me. Maybe that's why the game doesn't let you ask, lol

I really do think Solas has some of the best facial animations in the game. Cullen's are pretty good (though his face glitches on me in some of the earlier cutscenes, sadly), and I like Dorian's, but Solas' are so subtle and accurate. I'm disappointed with the Iron Bull's, his face seems very static. Cassandra from the nose up also seems to rarely change.

Iron Bull is pretty scared up. Could be a reason it doesn't move too much.
