That would be my assumption. He is the Fade Expert after all, and the entire point of the Inquisitor's mission is to close the Rift to the Fade. Dare I say it he should be one of the most important companions you can have.

Hey guys! I've been lurking the Solas thread for a bit, and I really can't wait until we find out more information on him. Solas has nowhere left to run or hide now! 

 

We barely have any info on him now, but hopefully, they will release his character profile thing soon. Those seem to give a decent amount of insight into the personality and background of the characters. It would be pretty cool if he ended up being a dreamer. So far, all of our companions seem to be super interesting and powerful in their own way.

 

And of course, I hope he's a LI. I get that people have preferences, but I still can't believe that when he was first shown, so many people immediately disliked him because he was BALD. Personally, I dislike people because they're jerks, not because of their appearance. I actually think that he's very handsome, and his long johns are pretty charming haha. It would also be awesome if his eyes are actually violet, which is what I think they look like in the screenshots we've seen. But...yeah. My Femquisitor would definitely like to rub his head for good luck. 

 

Also, I absolutely adore all of the people who openly admire Solas's...assets. Do he got da booty? He certainly do. 

 

 

Hopefully we will get some juicy Solas news VERRYYY soon!   You guys are all wonderful!

Damn.. I'm in conflict.. I want all of the mages to be in a team together just to hear the banter ! But in any difficulty except for peaceful that would probably mean a massacre

It will probably be Monday he's up but boy.. We've been writing for so long without info just random stuff about Solas and just imaging when we actually get some info

I mean, ex-wive, and kids...and...I would be very "No." ©Sten I tend to play characters that prefer the life of adventuring. Expect my Keep to feel slightly neglected.

 

And wasn't that how it was with Carth? Of which we have a much hated "Carth Syndrome" around the forums for a reason...(He did, at least, come saddled with a son.)

For me an LI with ex-wife and kids might not be the ideal LI and I don't want that every LI has that kind of background. However that kind of setup might be interesting because the LI might have kids for various reasons. For example noble man or elf might have a duty to have children and noble man might have a duty to marry someone. There might not be love in that arrangement which is very important aspect to me. Because if there isn't love involved then it doesn't matter does the LI has kids or has he been married. But if the LI has been married with the love of his life then it breaks a little bit of my illusion that he knows that I'm the one for him. It doesn't bother me that LI's spouse has died but if their marriage has ended because my LI has cheated the spouse with another man or woman then that is very bad. But I also like that there is possibility for a divorded man to be LI because he deserve love and happiness to his life even if his previous relationship has ended.

 

In general I like that there are different LIs. Some may be inexperienced, some experienced, some might have had only flings and some might have had only serious relationships etc.
