There are a lot of wolf statues everywhere, and the ravens seem to like perching on those, which is nice because I think there are lore links between Fen'Harel and Dirthamen being allies.  If I'm wrong someone will slap my wrists...

Okay, I really have to try to stick with a non-Solas romanced character. If in a worst case scenario we don't get any poststory DLC I'll will end up with 3 unhappy Lavellans... Sure they're all unhappy in their own way but I need at least one that balcony to get a hug..

Been lurking this forum for the past two weeks, yeah it's been two weeks since I had my heart broken my a certain elf.. I have spent my time reading, trying to figure out what it could mean, and i am honetly suprised that i can feel so sad because of a character ;( I started a second play though with a human and did a different romance, but I could not stay away from my favorite elf, so keept watching youtube vids.. I might stick around here, because I feel like we have much in common I do have my own theory on what might happen later, but i am not sure if I want to share it yet, to afraid it might turn out true :/

It really does feel like trying to finish a puzzle with only half the pieces at hand. I keep having a feeling there is a clue somewhere and I just don't see it yet.

Ok, i might do it later then But you would have to bear in min dthat I only have played Dai, and not the other two games before. Done lots of reading though, and thinking I might try to write down what i think ( but what i hope is different ) My kids just got home from school, so later tonight I really, really hope we get a DLC, feel like the game haven't ended properly for me..

Probably not until a large majority of the bugs are relatively fixed, which I am fine with to be honest even if I've experienced few.

I haven't done his romance, just wanna say the last two pages were a fantastic palate cleanser after the dozen pages of Dalish hate and "they deserved to be destroyed" crapolla I just read. Ugh. They made mistakes, of course they did, but the descendants of those people that made mistakes don't deserve to be destroyed or have their culture made illegal over it. The game makes it clear that not all Dalish are xenophobic jerks (the Lavellan clan the prominent example- my boy certainly isn't xenophobic, just cautious) but the "elf appreciation thread" turned into elf-bashing is just painful to read.

 

Kinda mad at Bioware for giving the elf-haters so much juicy lore to use to justify elf hate- but at the same time, I appreciate the added dimension to their lore and the fact the Dalish are given a chance to start making amends for their side of the whole thing. Some people take that to mean the Dalish are evil and deserve to be wiped out. They are my favorite part of DA lore, and it makes my heart hurt.

Someone in that thread suggested Solas' appreciation thread to be the place to go for elf support, so here I am even though it isn't the primary goal of the thread.

 

That said, I do adore Solas even if he disproves of my boy's Dalish pride. They still became friends, and I love his character. My elf hasn't learned about the massive Dalish screw ups yet though. I imagine he'll have a bit of a crises when that happens (no idea if the game gives dialogue options for playing that out).

 

I don't know if I will get a female Lavellan to see Solas' romance, but as a friend to my Inquisitor, he's a fantastic foil.

 

I haven't read through the new replies yet, so forgive me if this has already been said.

That probably depends on how in depth it is. Maybe three or four months?

Thanks for linking this. I struggle to keep track of all the codex entries/etc I've read/heard in-game. GAH, I wish we knew more, but I can't escape the feeling that DA4 will be moving away from elven history - like DA2 moved away from darkspawn, and DA:I moved away from the mage/templar conflict.
