Jeez, no wonder Solas dislikes the Dalish. Hates wisdom and kindness...yeah, can't see Solas liking that little story at all.

IIRC, you can tell Minaeve that your clan does it differently. I definitely chose that option. "All elves had magic and were immortal" and "too many mages are bad" just doesn't jive logically, IMO.
This is what I remember as well. He almost regretted what he said about "too bad you're not Dalish" and then she called him, what was that, "child" in their language? ![]()

In Solas' second cutscene he asks if the mark has changed you. Anyone else notice all the conversation options are kinda the same? It's not really and extreme change in attitudes. Going from "gentle" to "aggressive" I thought there would be bigger change
Maybe it did change the Quizzy.

I found a bit of a contradiction regarding the original role of the Keeper; I think it is the Ancient Keeper armor you can obtain from the Exalted Plains clan which says that they were archivists of sorts as oppose to slave keepers. Both roles fit the name.
I can't remember, was the slave keeper-thing born of speculation or from the game itself?

Guessing. Who else would be a leader of a bunch of slaves?
But, are they slaves themselves or were they part of the "higher" born

I do find it somewhat hilarious that an elven playthrough of Inquisition can be titled "Everyone's an ass to the elf even the other elves" - Guess it's karma for having a slightly racistic Warden, though to be fair she overcame it. It's just that this Inquisitor was generally an all-around nice character who just wanted to learn about the outside world.
Lavellan: Oh, I can't wait to experience all the cultures and preserve all that knowledge
Solas: I don't see elves as my people, also everything you know is wrong.
Sera: Elfy elfy elfy
Minave: The dalish kicked me out of my clan as a child and left me to fend on my own - so much for sticking together
Abelas: Shemlen
Lavellan:
That said, I do like what we learn, I just find hilarious how much of it is suddenly cropping up.
Bwahaha this made me laugh irl and IT'S SO FREAKING TRUE. Sera seems to hate elves (or at least disdain them a bit), Solas is all *disapproves* any time he's too proud of his heritage, Minaeve is... Minaeve (he doesn't talk to her any more after that conversation, too scared she might bite his head off). Man, that boy misses his clan so bad right now. I wish BW had made them where you could actually visit them, not just war table junk that could end in disaster if you choose the wrong adviser. (Did that once, sent in Cullen- save scummed that crap because NO).
i may be a tiny bit emotionally over-invested in my elf

It is, after all, the power of Fen'Harel that s/he received. A sweet god of rebellion power infusion. (I'll get my hat.)

(to Birdy) Well, there was the fact that her pee starting glowing green and the sudden ability to glow in the dark but who really wants to admit to that?
I would have been liked an option that was a bit of both; The Dalish raised her with certain values but her decisions was her own whatever might have influenced them, she still choose to act either accordingly, against or without a thought towards them.

You can have a slave who keeps track of other slaves. The slave might believe and see themselves as above the other slaves but they will still be slaves.

It's also established lore that mages aren't all that common among the Dalish now and only mages can be Keepers. You'd think they'd invest in protecting them. So yeah, the addition of this practice annoys me. =/

Slave-keeper thing is speculation.

(to scintilla) Ah, thanks.
I found I like the archivist-angle because it makes it all the more sadder; Their role is to preserve and guide their charges through the use of the lessons learned and taught by the knowledge of the past but through time, they have instead lost the true meanings of these lessons and knowledge to interpertation and mismembering not to mention decay of time.
Yeah, I wanted to order one but they were out-of-stock in anything my size, both ladies and men. Hopefully they restock.

He is. And seeing how scary he is when he's angry just makes me appreciate how cuddly he usually is even more.
(We need more gentle!Solas fanfic, from what I've seen on tumblr it goes from zero to sixty; either celibate or full-on dominant).
I'm trying to work on just that, actually.
His quiet gentleness is soooooooooooo sweet. ![]()

I want Solas tarot art prints, they're so gorgeous. Or even better, if I could just get all of the character prints in general. I'd cover an entire wall with them, artsy-like.

Haha, I noticed, which is why I linked the men's instead
They've released a lot of stuff since I placed an order on Dec 1 for a few things. Had to order me that Dorian litho, and can't wait to see what else they bring out. Solas, Cole, Cullen.. gimme gimme.
I would love some big posters for Inquisition, but the lithos are 2 feet tall, so they are fairly big. Still, I kinda want to plaster my room with everything DA related.
