As for rebound love, no. Solas was my Lavellan's One Twue Wuv, so that's a no go. I briefly contemplated going after Cullen, but that would be tremendously unfair and hollow to both of them I think. I'm saving Cullen for a cute human mage, just his type. He deserves to be someone's #1, which he would never be with my Lavellan.

There's already some tension between my current Lavellan and Blackwall >.> ...  she flirted with him up until his first scene in Skyhold when he confesses that he's fond of her but it won't work out, and she agreed and didn't pursue a relationship.  I headcanoned that she thought the real reason Blackwall was hesitant was because she was an elf, and she didn't want to have to deal with that.  She has a thing for older men, and there was Solas too... so wise and mature

 

Because I roleplay my characters like that.  Yep.

 

My Lavellan was...oddly intrigued....by Blackwall. As is my current Trevallyn (or however that's spelt). He's strangely charming and gets really into you, really fast. Both of them basically had the same moment when they first spoke to him at skyhold and were like, "whoa, uh....I should back out of this now or else we're just gonna end up doing it on the battlements and Solas/Cullen will never forgive me"

 

So hmm....someday, I will get to a Blackwall romance...but for now, I think he's gotten past being into my Lavellan, and they're just really good friends. Tho in my head cannon, she should probably avoid getting drunk with him, because she would do things she regretted.

I kinda got a Abelas and Faolán Story going on in my head after Solas broke up with her and took off  Ofcourse it is now getting the nerve to pen it down on my lj or other lol

Oh, I agree with you, Solas would be my first choice.  

 

But if Solas is to become completely unattainable for story reasons, then I really would like an Abelas romance, which would by no means be easy, in my opinion.

I'm secretly pretending that Abelas finds the Inquisition post game to, I don't know, to help or something, and my Lavellan, with all her Solas sads and my-clan-got-killed-sads forms a really tight relationship with him and all his sads (her patron/vallaslin was Mythal and she drank from the well so they'd have a lot in common methinks.) And maybe it very, very slowly becomes romantic. And she starts to get over Solas. And this is the point where new content is released, Solas comes back, and **** just hits the fan (metaphorically of course, obviously they don't have real fans in the Dragon Age universe because, you know, no electricity)

 

I'm actually not usually a big fan of love triangles, but eh... Solas you kinda brought this on yourself lol

I don't know, I think if some time has passed and there never actually is a reunion between Solas and Lavellan (please let there be a reunion), I could see my Lavellan moving on and finding someone else.  Maybe even Blackwall after some time- she gave him his freedom, so he's likely to be sticking around *shrugs*

I ended up trying the dalish rouge armor on Solas and I really like the way it looks. I know he's a mage and got that apostate hobo-look of his going on but I kinda like him in traditional elven gear, it gives him a whole new aura

If by the time all the dlc comes out, Lavellan hasn't reunited with Solas and is still alive...maybe then I'll head cannon in some Blackwall love. Maybe.

I think she'd eventually move on if there was nothing - no fade dreams, no word of him, nada. Eventually one gives up hope. Though I can't imagine my Lavellan getting with a human. Or ever really being super-invested in a different relationship. Solas would always be the "what could have been" and how can something else measure up to a fantasy like that? She'd probably give in to Josephine pestering her for a political marriage if/when an elf were an arl or something. And she'd be OK with that. But the thought makes me sad.

 

 

On a less sad topic, I'm thinking it'd be cool if the Dalish had some sort of festival games involving the Dread Wolf. I was in Scotland for Hogmanay in 2012 and they had this neat-o game involving a guy dressed as a minotaur and a maze. You had to go into the maze and freeze whenever the Minotaur looked at you. If you moved you got kicked out. If you were stealthy enough you could grab a ribbon from the guy and then you got some sort of prize. Now I want to write some fic with something similar (I should probably get my current fics typed up first though).

How many of you thought there was a chance to get back together with Solas after you defeated Cory?

I can't remember if I mentioned this when I posted after completing the game but, heh. I was given misinformation about Solas when spoilers were starting to leak prior to release. I was told that he was going to play out like Anders. That you would find out that he was tricked into opening the breach and his life/fate would he down to you. So I went through my first run believing this. This is why, when dumped, I wasn't too upset. I figured that he felt bad and maybe we'd reconcile once I found out the truth and forgave.

...if you guys could have seen my face when he disappeared at the end and Leliana said he couldn't be found. Oh my. When my Lavellan went to her quarters I thought that maybe he'd be there. Maybe they'd have a moment. Nope. Alone. The credits roll. I'm ranting at the TV: "they can't leave it like that!? Where the hell is he!?"
I'm texting my friend, ranting away at what's gone down. Prepping myself for a return here to look for answers.
Then the after credit scene pops and my mind explodes from awesome.

Ahaaaa. It's amusing me to think about how I thought that story would play out. Oh, self. You were so wrong.

I wish that this style was available for females in the Dalish Rogue Armor, instead of a reskin of Merrill's outfit as the female version (which I also like).  It would be cool if they were two separate outfits, instead of male/female versions.

I thought maybe going to her room after the celebrations, the Inquisitor would have some kind of sleep Fade scene where Solas (in hindsight, he wouldn't explain everything to her) but would at least maybe say goodbye or something

 

I actually think it would have been really nice, to make it hurt less, if Bioware had a thing in post-game where your Inquisitor can run around Skyhold and find notes that Solas had written throughout the game about him and Lavellan, and yeah it would be sad and depressing, but you could read them and least have *something*
