Hmm... Well, I'll just keep bringing Solas along on quests and hope it updates.

 

Have you tried unmarking all the completed quests (maybe especially the main story-line)? I heard this helps with party banter, maybe it helps triggering companion cutscenes as well.

Have you flirted with Blackwall at all? After the fade kiss you should be able to jump right into the next conversation with Solas from what I have seen.

Oh, sorry not a romance. I'm a qunari female. But Solas and I talked in "Haven" when I first got to skyhold as a human female, so I expected the same scene with my qunari.

As soon as I got to Skyhold I went to the Fade with Solas, right after that his quest began for me. It could be that you flirted too much with another character, I noticed on my second playthrough that flirting with Solas after the first cutscene in Skyhold cut off my ability to flirt with Cullen.

I can't flirt with him, I don't think. I'm a qunari female, and have only flirted with Iron Bull.

As a female noble when I first got to Skyhold I went and talked to Solas and we were wandering around "Haven" and when I realized it was the fade he said "Come find me when you wake up." And I don't remember anything else about that scene.

My sister, who's now playing a female Trevelyan, also got that "Haven" cutscene though she got it way later in the game because she wasn't able to gather enough approval from him unlike in her Lavellan playthrough.

 

Of course, only female Lavellans who flirted enough with him get to kiss him.

If you didn't kiss Solas in the Fade, do you have an option to say, "Stay the **** out of my head!" to him after you wake up?

 

I was just thinking of that after I did Champions of the Just for the first time yesterday, and how someone who experienced that *might* feel about it.  It obviously isn't the same, but I'm curious

Yea, not only the Haven scene, but he even does the balcony scene too with a non-romanceable Inquisitor, after you do his personal quest.  

 

He asked my human mage inquisitor playthrough to the balcony in her quarters, asked her all the same questions (i.e. do you feel that the Mark changed you, etc.).  Only difference is he just said something like "You have my respect" and left, just no kissing obviously.  I don't know why he couldn't have told me he respected me when we were talking in his room but had to go to my bedroom to say it.

Well he says he was surprised that the experience was so focused, so it's really the Inquisitor in charge of that interaction as much as Solas. More clues that the mark/ walking out of the Fade changed the Inquisitor in ways not obvious from the external.

It would have been nice to have an origin sequence, but that's probably why.

What I've gathered is you need to get Morrigan and Alistair in the same place at the same time.  Alistair first by finding the warden then do the winter ball.  (I think that's the order) and go to the garden.

 

lines 002117 to 2318 (there are 2 lines about the maker that don't belong to the dialog but the rest is alistair and morrigan)

My bestie got a little weirded out at Solas's content, partially because she had such a hard time getting approval from him.  So when she got the Haven scene she was like, "OK, strange elf who hasn't talked to me for 70 hours.  Now you wanna walk around in my head and have heartfelt conversations?!"

Okaaayy, so it may very weel be that as a qunquisitor I start out with lower Solas approval than a Trevelyan.

I'm Dalish and haven't gotten it yet.     I've done 2-3 companion quests so far since getting to skyhold

Both of Solas's first romance scenes still happen with a non-romance. They just don't include the romantic content.

 

Which is why it makes it seem like he might have a crush on a female Quizzy, regardless of race if they get along.

 

Because the balcony scene changes from "I haven't forgotten about the kiss." to "...I deeply respect you.".

I also did "Here Lies The Abyss" (oh, God, my feels   ) yesterday. Besides being vastly amused by just how much Solas initially nerdgasms when you get there, I found the Eluvians interesting. All the ones there are broken, but it's only this VERY FIRST ONE you encounter that has two bodies below it.

I would be curious if they're always there for everybody. Because my first thought was the Dalish origins in DAO and my heart cried out, "Tamlen!" And then I was confused because he came back as a shriek later and attacked the Warden's camp, plus, why would there be TWO bodies... and then it dawned on me that the Warden I imported for this playthrough was my City Elf. So... without Duncan's intervention, is that the potential Dalish Warden and Tamlen dead after touching the tainted Eluvian? 

 

I don't think it's Tamlen/ Mahariel. The Eluvian didn't kill them, it tainted them. So they became ghouls... ugh I don't want to follow that line of thought any further. I'm glad Mahariel is able to kill Tamlen, to save him from that fate (if they become a Grey Warden).
