So guys... regarding that discussion few pages ago about public sex   , where exactly does Solas sleep? I cannot imagine him sleeping in that rotunda, it seems more like his work studio or something... (and it's probably awfully smells like paint lol) 

 

On a related note, I am confused about where do most companions and advisors sleep? Sera has her bunk in the tavern, Cullen I think has bed above his office in the tower, Cass probably in the armory building, Blackwall in the stables and Cole... doesn't sleep? What about Varric, Dorian, Vivienne, Bull, Leliana and Josephine?

 

Also I saw this on another forum and think it's hilarious 

 

lol.. I wanna do a body swap wit this scene to make Solas and Quizzy's sex scene. One of the reasons I'm pursuing modding tools

 

As for where he sleeps, there's a comfy couch in the rotunda.

 I was thinking the exact same as soon as head morph/body swapping becomes available I'll be doing it i don't care how wrong it is lol

Yeah, but would he? The place feels kinda too open imo. At least in Haven there were several nice comfy houses which could fit every companion and the room with several beds in the church.

 

I think I'll have to explore Skyhold some more to look for possible bedrooms  .  After all I found out there is wine cellar in my castle like after 60 hours of playing.

 

There actually are a couple of bedrooms in Skyhold (only took me about 2 playthroughs and 100 hours to find them). They're on the same floor as Vivienne's balcony: there's a door there that leads to an outside corridor and you can find 3 bedrooms there.

There's a word for that. In fact, it's the word that I think really describes Solas as a character. "Saudade". It's Portuguese and means, roughly, "a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves." That's basically the romance. Beautiful, full of longing, but tinged with melancholy at the knowledge that it can't work. It's also (imo) the emotion that Hallelujah evokes. 

 

Maybe there's a god above, but all I've ever learned from love is how to shoot at somebody who outdrew you.

 

I just had to quote this because: I agree! Portuguese song and literature is full of a melancholy that comes out of missing, out of longing, and lately a lot of poems and songs just remind me of him.

That's so cool! I don't speak Portuguese, but I've always loved that word. It describes a feeling that you instantly recognize, but doesn't have a direct analogue in English. Just that combination of melancholy, longing, nostalgia, pain, and love.

People say Sylaise in game... it's pretty much how it's written. Sill like windowsill, Ayse with soft s, sort of like "ace," stress on the last syllable.

I've had Twitter exchanges with David Gaider in days gone by. They answer if they feel like it, I think. Have to- they probably get inundated. Doesn't hurt to chat them up about the characters, maybe you'll get the answer eventually, like in a panel or something if they've heard the same questions repeated.

I made a joke when I first started posting in these forums that the game could be nothing but listening to Solas talk and hugging Cole and I would be fine with that. It is 100% true.

 

I like to pretend that Lavellan tries to comfort Cole (especially after his little "I'm sorry" if you tell him to stop in the banter) nearly as much as Cole tries to comfort her. It's a wound that needs time to heal but Cole may not entirely understand that when there's pain that he could be making better if he could just figure out how.

 

It depends on what you want to know. If it's elven language stuff, go to David Gaider or Patrick Weekes. There's no guarantee of a response but I think they try to get to a lot of things. You can try David Gaider on tumblr too, if you have one: http://dgaider.tumblr.com/

I actually got a Twitter account just to follow the Bioware people and a few fans that are really knowledgeable about the lore (Lady Insanity for example). I randomly tweet stuff about DA, but so far I have not gotten any replies. Also, I not sure I entirely understand Twitter.

@PatrickWeekes After the break up with Solas Cole mentions pain & Solas says this isn't a pain he can fix is he talking about his own mistake pain or hurting the inquisitor?
