I was wondering when this theory would pop up. Maybe Aliens in a sense, like fairies are aliens. Beings from another realm, not necessary space.

Well, he does respond to some degree by just being generally bitter and cranky.  It especially comes out in his dialogues with Varric, Sera, and a pro-Dalish Inquisitor.  It's certainly not a constructive way to deal with his situation, but IMO you'd have to be a saint to be in Solas's shoes and not get cranky.

One of the things that surprised me most about him.   He's so freaking grumpy! It's wonderful.

I'm getting through the Dorian romance pretty well; he's adorable, and my Adaar is adorable, and they're just amazing together.  But I think I'm done after that character.  It took me so, so long to come up with a second PC who was even playable after Lavellan.

 

I can't even imagine that right now, though I so do want to experience Dorian's romance. He is just wonderful.

 

 

Regardless, people here say they do new playthroughs with Lavellan, something that will be hard for me as well.

My character's face is etched to my mind, and I shall forever see her with Solas, I can't bring myself to romance him with another elf

Yeah, I'm pretty much stuck on one Lavellan too.  So it's either play the post-game with that character, without Solas, or try to dive into a new PC and LI.  Because I can't just *stop* playing this game.  It is actually crack.

Yeah, I'm pretty much stuck on one Lavellan too.  So it's either play the post-game with that character, without Solas, or try to dive into a new PC and LI.  Because I can't just *stop* playing this game.  It is actually crack.

 

It is crack, I'm just splitting my different Lavellan's up into alternate realities, it makes it easier..even though Atisha is the canon, the one and the only (really).  I can't play with my post game save...

This game put me on a strict diet of forgetting-to-eat-food-and-drink-water and steals sleeping hours from me.

I haven't slept between Sunday and Monday :|

 

But, it makes me giddy like a highschool girl, so why not.

My boyfriend doesn't seem to care as well... For now.

 

And playing post game without Solas... Jeez, I don't think it can get more depressing than that.

I'd rather write fanfics or draw him like a madwoman T_T

Same. Tried a female dwarf: Didn't work out. The only thing that I can manage to do is a male Lavellan that is Solas' bro and Dorian's lover. He'd basically be the exact opposite of my tough warrior girl that loves to be sassy with Dorian and enjoys Solas' fascinating stories. But anything other than that? Soooo difficult.

I'm with you!!! I'm pretty sure Solas stole my poor Lavellan's heart as well as mine because I can't give it  to any character now.

So I decide to complete all the missions in my Lavellan's playthrough instead. I'm gonna drag you to every conner of Thedas before you dump my ass, Egg head!!!

This was the first thing I thought when  I got to Skyhold...I was just like. "Solas, my love, these Ravens have just crapped on every piece of furniture and book in your little study." Maybe that's why he hates tea, in unfortunate addition...

The first week I was always forgetting to eat.. once that first PT was out of the way I started to remember that sustenance is something that shouldn't be ignored lol.

I still think that Solas is dead, with his body snatched by Flemeth. Largely because I don't think that Bioware would kill off a three-game recurring character in a cutscene after the credits.

.... well just because the spirit of Mythal went into his body we don't know that Solas VA won't be coming back. I mean that might have been the whole reason behind this little genderswitch if you still wanna call the character Flemeth afterwards. To me for all intents and purposes I think it might be Solas who just so happens to harbor the spirit of Mythal now.

He already dumped my ass, but I haven't finished the second playthrough (as said before, after that last romance scene.. Jeez).

Thinking of draggin him everywhere and change lots of companions so I could hear him talk. Like. A lot.

That's why he still hasn't come back.  He'll be looking for region 21 in the Exalted Plains forever.

Crazy theories time on!
What if Solas is Shartan? As someone already mentioned there are some suggestive dialogue lines. Plus both of them are male bald elves with lots of charisma and willpower, understanding how to start a revolution. No one knows what exactly happened to Shartan after Andraste's death. There are also rumours that they were lovers. And if you remember an old fan theory that FenHarel is the Maker and he tricked Andraste... Then falling for Lavellan the Herald of Andraste is just ironic...
