Mmm, I haven't beaten Coryphblablablablaabla yet, so I'm in that state.

But it kind of breaks my heart he doesn't call her 'my heart'/'vhenan', he just calls her 'Inquisitor' now

 

If you pick the teary-eyed option during the breakup scene, he says "Please, vhenan," in this absolutely heartbreaking voice.  Immediately after he breaks up with Lavellan.  To me, that "Inquisitor" business is just him putting up a front to keep some distance between himself and Lavellan. 

 

His post-breakup conversation is really, really cold unless you lash out at him, and then you get to see a bit of the facade crumble.

Then he wouldn't have told Lavellan that he cannot possibly say he doesn't care. Because he DOES care - he gains nothing from lying about something like that. But to each their own.

^This and at the end when he says that no matter what happens in the future, that what they had was real. He had no reason to say that at all. He could've just disappeared without saying anything, and at that point in the game, lying about it serves no purpose since he's leaving anyway.

It's not the same as listening to him to say it. A lot of the unhappiness about her being all "I don't know why I bothered" is in his tone which gets increasingly intense until the last line which is said more quietly.

He also basically calls their relationship a mistake. She'd have been justified punching him after that one.
