I was thinking about this last night and I was curious to why the Mark wasn't mentioned during end game. I would have thought at least one character would have brought it up to why the Inq still has the Mark (I know it's there for gameplay purposes like you mentioned). I hope you're right that DLC will explain/expand and give us more Solas.

All of the dialog post game was kind of dull generally, maybe except that one line from Cole.

Anyhow, I just don't think they were surprised, it was known for quite some time it is permanent. Some one even said it (my brain is broken, I don't remember who, but it was someone with an opinion that matter so it's ok! [if some one remember who says that.. please help XD]), it's part of the Inquisitor.

Probably didn't feel the need to address it, OR didn't address for the sake of keeping a bit of the surprise (in case someone doesn't notice)?

Oh god I'm not sure why but Solas' sexy time with spirits makes me cringe XD

And yes, I just quoted the part where he says that 'it's your fault Herald. You've interrupted a ritual years in the planning, and instead of dying you stole its' purpose'.

This sentence made me think about a lotttt of things.

Years in the making may indicate he was planning doing it, while knowing that he can achieve that with a Foci, maybe that's how he convinced Sols to give it to him, although... Geez. Anyone who looks like Corypheblech is not to be trusted.

Otherwise, maybe Solas awoke around the time Hawke freed Coryphemeh from its' warden prison.

I guess my lurking days are gone, now that I *finally" caught up with the thread. Sexy times with spirits makes me cringe as well, what with transparent bodies and...

ahem, let's better talk about Coripheus and the orb

Actually, my theory is that the elven gods have to possess bodies, but Solas is somehow special and has gone through a Humanizing of Cole type process.

My theory about elves in general is that they are spirits-made-flesh.  That could be extended to the gods, but it seems the gods do have fleshly bodies, which can be corrupted.  If they didn't have bodies, they couldn't become Blighted.

Definitely an interesting theory. I ran across a codex entry the other day... I believe it was in the fade during "Here Lies The Abyss"... about the "Dumat's Tooth" statue/sacrificial stand thing. It was written by an elven slave and basically explained that the Tevinter magisters liked using elven slaves in their blood ritual sacrifices because they believed elves to have some sort of extra special connection to the Fade, compared to all other races.

I found that... interesting, to say the least.

No one ever gets kicked out of the blanket fort!

It really depends on the kind of character being played.

Spoiler

Thank you, I love it here in the blanket fort!  ^_^

Exactly, I think Lavellan's reaction post-game depends a lot on how you play her

Did anyone else feel a sort of blankness, when Solas left levallen? When i first saw it, thats what I felt.. It was like 'wow okay thats over..' (and levellan seems to keep almost emotionless regardles, which does not help.) I enjoyed the solas romance, but i feel like its missing something..a key element..

I was thinking that the solas romance is meant to be an almost equivilant of morrigan romance. With morrigan male wardens get to have an OLd god baby,

Yeah that's obvious, but another person referenced it, later in the game.

The scene can feel rather blank as you put it if you go a specific route in the dialog options. Though I definetly do like picking the first sad option then ending with the angry option (the "Tell me you don't care,").

A lot of people think it feels unfinished, I think. Probably in part because it's clear that he still cares, so there's an expectation of resolution of those feelings. Out of curiosity, which voice did you use? I thought Alix Wilton Regan (british) did a really good job of being emotional without overdoing it. Sumalee Montano (american) is less emotive.

It certainly has commonalities with the Morrigan romance.

He's an interesting character, yes.  ^_^

You'll see a little bit more of his personality in the romance but not much else. That little bit more has created a lot of sympathy in fans who did the romance though, so maybe it's worth it?

I romanced Solas in my second play through because I was so thrown by the ending and I wanted to understand more of his intentions and wth happened. I thought he was initially really annoying (had a pretty low approval with him at first, he even commented about it lol xD) but he's now my favourite character in the series. I misjudged him pretty bad; knowing his back story now adds so much more depth to the hints and clues you find in the game. It's making my second play through way more satisfying anyway, especially in contrast to the main coryshiz happening. The fact that he knew about Skyhold and that it's been there for ages as an old elven castle is pretty crazy when you think about it. What if he once lived there once upon a time?

Hmnn that might be it then, in that scene. But in the end game..she still seems blank.. about it. I dont know maybe it is just me.

An expectation of a resolution? Now that you mention it, that's probably where that blankness comes from..I was expecting a resolution after the break up, sort of how you get one with fenris. The voice set was the british one: the other one was just too loud and didint seem to fit with an elf, at least in my head.

This is great to see!  I wish everyone could do this rather than just write him off as black and white/evil/ugly/annoying *insert appropriate word here* and cry for a murder knife.

Divine Justinia, in the Fade, says "the Mark is part of you, it cannot be removed without your death." Something like that.

There are too many leading comments like "We can't, you'll see" and "I hope one day you understand." They're not finished with his story. If they are finished, we just burn Edmonton to the ground. lol

I do now feel for the Anders and Sebastian fans who were hoping for a DA2 expansion that never came. That would suck. I think there's less danger for DAI, though obviously anything could happen. PW could get hit by a bus, then Sheryl or Mary will take over the character and we'll be left drowning in a tub of our fangirl tears.

The voice acting is really good for the breakup scene on both sides. For the Inquisitor the lines "why not this one?" and for Solas, "I... can't" and "please, vhenan." Yep, I take the sobby options. Gotta do it. Solas holding his hands up as if to say "if I touch you one more time I won't be able to do this" gets me right there.

Of course one does not need children to have a family; I have a pretty big one made of myboyfriend, me, our three cats and two guinea pigs :D I guess I just wanted to explore the mind of someone wanting a more "traditional" family, especially in the frame of a world so shaken up as Thedas. It's also not the only thing my Lavellan is interested in

Yes! That rings a bell. I had an image of a chantry's robes so for some reason I thought it was Mother Giselle but that didn't make sense since I remembered someone more credible said that XD

Nothing wrong with creating a character that wants a traditional family.  ^_^

RE:Corypheus: Nope, you're right. Corypheus woke up confused that he wasn't in Ancient Tevinter. There's one theory out there that Solas gave the orb to him then. I guess my problem with that theory isn't that it has more holes than the "woke up recently" one but that there isn't a really good explanation for what Solas spent the next 1000+ years doing.

Basically, we need more information!

I didn't realise someone mentioned it, I must have glossed over that conversation. I do hope they address it at one point later on. I need to know
