I really wish I could draw. My Lavellan has deep red hair, and I can't find any Solas romance fan art that looks like her. I named her Atisha, which is Elvan for Peace. I think it suits her..and the romance. She gives Solas some peace while they are together. I probably made her like 10 times before I was finally happy with her and her name. I'm rambling..I'm tired..I didn't get much sleep. I kept thinking about Solas and making up fanfic in my head.

Because the banter where Cassandra asks Solas about the removal of my Lavellan's vallaslin has happened about 3 times now, each on separate play sessions. Just wondering if you guys know, do companions repeat banters? Because the banter where Cassandra asks Solas about the removal of my Lavellan's vallaslin has happened about 3 times now. They aren't supposed to, as far as I know; there's one between Varric and Solas (about Corypheus) that I know a lot of people have had repeat, though.

I don't..I'm playing on my XBox.   She has the ponytail hair and deep forest green eyes, light pink lips and her skin is about one shade darker than Solas'. Oh..and she has the tattoo that looks like a tree on her forehead..it's a soft brownish red color. *squees with fangirlish glee at the thought of art*

 

How much is she like my Lavellan? (sorry for that pic, didn't have anything else of them standing close enough so you could see the skin difference)

Oh okay, thanks! It's funny because it seems like in my game, Cass is the one with repeat banters. That banter where she asks Solas on how he knew to approach Cass and co. when the Breach opened has happened twice. Oh well.

1) I have a HQ pic of Solas as my laptop's wallpaper and I get butterflies everytime I catch a glimpse of it. I have no excuse, I'm just a massive loser. I love it.

I thought it was interesting how Zathrian, who had lived for hundreds of years, was also bald! Like Solas and the pics we have of the Ancient Elvhen. Coincidence? I wonder if the dev team had thought that far ahead.

Guys.... all this talk of elves having a "special connection" to the fade is super depressing. The magic in Thedas has always been my favourite read, but having always played human mages... and learning that they may be excluded from whole worlds of magic.... ugh. I feel like I am grieving for my whole Dragon Age experience!

If it makes you feel any better, I think humans are the only race that has managed to tame blight magic and turn it to their will, so.... yay?

On an unrelated note, the thread discussing the Black City is interesting to follow - but I cannot shake the repeated idea that everything in the fade is a 'reflection'. So theoretically, the black city itself could be empty simply because it is also a reflection of a real place somewhere. I feel like I cannot commit myself to any theories until it is confirmed that the black city is... well, not a reflection.

The Black City almost certainly exists in both places: in the absolute center of the physical world as well as the unreachable center of the Fade, which explains its dual nature as both the heavenly seat of the Maker and the Abyssal deep. There are some tempting theories about that split, the denizens of each, and Solas' particular "wholeness" to be made, but it's all still supposition with sketchy support at this point.

I did at first.  Elves are a little difficult to make in the CC, but overall I'm happy with my results on 2 of my Lavellans.  It's entirely possible to make attractive (IMO) looking elves, it just takes some trial and error.

What do you all think about starting up a separate theory thread? It might be dangerously packed with Crazy, but this one moves so fast it's hard for anyone coming in to get a grasp on what we think we know, what we know we don't, and how a little innocent theory-crafting can leave people curled up and sobbing in a blanket fort.

Can I be the dissenting voice here and argue for keeping theorycrafting in this thread? The main discussion thread seems like the appropriate place for, well, discussion, and attempting to make it just the romance squee thread (as much as I enjoy that too!) might mean losing people who would drop by the main thread and think that the only thing people are talking about is the romance. Besides, the first post FAQ opens up with a ton of theory and "what do we know" so it'd be confusing to come in here and be told to take it elsewhere with the theory.

 

If anything, it makes the most sense to me to start a separate "recovery" thread where we can all go and hide in the blanket fort when we need to.

 

Someone made a romance module using Solaufein back when modding was at its height for NWN. Oh my. It was perfection. I have the module backed up and saved and will never let it go. Ever. Not sure if it's still available, the author removed it after people made some pretty nasty attacks against her. Worth finding if possible, because yes. Perfection.

 

Casavir can go get bent though. I'm all about Gann.

 

I'm still giggling at the idea of a crossover between MotB and DAI. Dreamwalkers and spirits everywhere! The campfire conversations would be epic.

Don't forget that mage!Warden could also have an unrequited crush on Jowan, who not only likes an annoying Chantry girl but proceeds to royally eff up her life as well as his own and whatsherface's, not to mention like everyone at Redcliffe.

I managed to come up with a face that I liked the very first time around, but subsequent characters have taken me AGES. The CC is a fickle god.

 

Maybe try looking up other people's sliders at http://www.reddit.co...uisitionslidersand using that as a starting point? Sometimes I find it easier to start with something premade that looks decent than to try and come up with something good from scratch.

Me too! I find the cheekbones so hard to get right. Eventually I get tired of messing around and give up and go with something. My second play through half way through the game I realized I hated looking at my character and started all over again lol.

 

No matter what I do I seem to end up with weird pudgy cheeks
