What.

Okay, I had some time during class today and decided to scribble around. Seriously, these are scribbles that took less than 2 hours, just had this scenario playing in my head that I had to run with, haha. I kept hoping for a dialogue option in game about Solas' necklace, as it's definitely eye catching and LOUD, especially considering his... nature. I KNOW my ever inquisitive, Inquisitor -- would have DEFINITELY asked him about it... (Solas Highly Approves of inquisitive Inquisitors, after all)
Annnnnyway, here it is -- Solas dodging another question. I imagined him with red hair because of... eyebrows, and Loki. Norse Loki, not comic Loki. It's basically why I romanced him to begin with; Loki crush since highschool. That Trickster swagger makes me swoon. Also, envisioned him a little more wolfy. :3
I found that a bit weird, since he so adamantly insists he is a spirit of Choice in TME. Like how did that switch? Or is Desire really corrupted Choice? Or was he just lying before?
I wonder if they left out the Desire demon for SJW reasons? I never really liked the design of Desire anyway, it was a bit uncomfortable...but maybe they just wanted to make the newer demons take center stage (like envy), and Desire takes a lot of dialogue to really be effective.
I always assumed the "Choice spirit" thing was just Imshael's MO. Rather than floating around as a purple lady with her boobs out, he draws you in under the guise of just offering a choice.
Also, I'm sure that you aren't trying to be rude or anything like that, but I would love it if we could keep acronyms like SJW or MRA out of this thread. Even if you aren't using them in the manner most people do, they have very nasty connotations and I suspect I'm not the only person who feels uncomfortable when they are used.
EDIT: OH! Also - I'm on a new Solavallen playthrough, and a banter came up between Cass and Solas in which Solas oh-so-casually mentions that red lyrium has the blight. BEFORE Varric's personal quest. Damnit Solas.
Imshael was so, so much better than the nipple tassle demons!
That guy offered me virgins and I was like "lol who do you think you are trying to lure with that. Get me some sl*ts and maybe we can start talking"
Then I killed him.

It's not like DAI is any more family-friendly than Origins, so probably not because of the specific design... I do think it was kind of weird that all the desire demons in previous games had the same "sexy lady" appearance, even though they were playing to a lot more desires than sexy ladies. A lot of times it just didn't make sense.
WHAT.
Choice. Spirit!
You rat. You beat me to it. *shakes fist*
Can't have hounds around the Dread Wolf. I suspect that's the reason we didn't get a mabari this time.
Oh that didn't even cross my mind..of course!!
Sorry for being slightly off topic.
I saw someone mention (in this thread, I think) earlier about going through the Codex and Journal and clicking on everything marked as new, triggering banter. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I just did that and now Cole and Solas have not stopped chattering for the last 5 minutes or so. I've had 6-7 banters trigger in a 10 minute time frame.
Oh that didn't even cross my mind..of course!!
Well, let's be honest here, who needs a mabari when you can have the Dread Wolf around? That said, now that he's gone, my Inquisitor wouldn't mind a puppy... And not the type she'd give birth to post-Solas.
One thing. How would Lavellan find out that Solas is the Dread Wolf. I mean, she believed that Flemeth was Mythal because of her power over whoever drank from the well, but what would Solas have to do? I just think it's going to be hard for Lavellan to believe it if he just told her verbally. Maybe he has to bring her into the fade again to show her the past. ![]()
As for this: --> http://forum.bioware...nding-spoilers/
I really don't even have a guess. I only played DA2 once, and don't remember it well. The scene on the idol does look a whole lot like what happens between Solas and Mythal. Could the corruption be forcing events to happen a certain way? The red lyium song?
I have no idea...
Imagine if it went like this:
*Lavellan searched far and wide and finally caught up to Solas*
Solas: Vhenan, I am Fen'Harel. That's why I had to leave you to continue on my mission.
Lavellan: Are you serious?! I searched for you for YEARS and this is the excuse you give me?!

I edited the original post - wasn't really thinking of the negative connotations.

DA:I isn't more family friendly, but it's definitely more inclusive. We have a transgender character, one lesbian character, one gay character, a character who is into BDSM, a vegetarian in multi-player...Plus there's significantly less casual sexism in DA:I -- fewer people saying that they're surprised you can do something because you're a woman (Alistair...). Not that BW has ever been wildly intolerant, but I think they are making a conscious effort with DA:I to be conscious of the various sensitivities of their fanbase.
And...back to the topic at hand, here's a better photo of the idol (I think someone pulled the model and put it into the Sims):
Looks like there are three figures...?

I'm starting to think people are reading too much into that.
Or maybe the conversation between Solas and Lavellan would go like this.
Lol spoilers for Dexter.

Thankyou. ![]()
It DOES look like 3 figures to me. Further, "Flemeth's" horns are different, and "Solas" has both arms around her waist instead of one over her shoulder. Just coincidence, I think, though it shows how obsessed we all are with working out this puzzle! ![]()
Zambinibixi, you should put that in the other thread, because that could totally ruin it.
I always thought that the idol was a bunch of the lyrium-eating dwarves after they shrunk down and turned into red lyrium, like Meredith shrunk down and turned into a statue.
First, on idol: wtf.
Second, she won't find out from Solas that he's Dread Wolf. She'll have to find out some other way. There's just no way I can imagine that conversation not being super awkward.
Watch, that's what will happen now. Lol.

I hope she learns on her own. I hope she figures it out because going back it's really obvious and a member of the DALISH should know better. I don't want her to have to be told like she is a child, I want her to do some research and come upon the realization on her own. Up to now, the only time the Inquisitor has been in the know is when Solas/Mythal/Corypheus tells her something. I can't think of very many examples where Quizzie figured something out on their own. It's great that they have awesome friends to rely on, but I'd like to see a more independent Inquisitor in DLC. Probably won't happen though. How would a dwarf be able to figure out Solas is Fen'Harel? Gotta maintain some consistency.
I hope that it's at least not Solas that tells Quizzie. Maybe one of the other gods will show up and be like..."Yeah that mark on your hand belongs to my cousin. You might know him...bald...dresses in pajamas...likes spirits...?"
