I still want to know who decided the hair options for females and the jammies in skyhold were the best idea. I mean the Jammies are just begging assassins to find us. We're the most stand out character in Skyhold and we're not in armor. Unless Leliana had those Jammies made out of special dragon leather and diamonds I dont trust them to keep us alive from an arrow out of nowhere...

I wasn't too bothered with them on my other quzzies. They're pretty bland but I didn't mind. But the weird boobs that a male elf gets in them is not so good. They aren't enough to put me off my inquisitor though. The first of many I actually love watching in action.

So I was playing my Qunari, Belle, and it was going great till I had to talk with Solas to get his personal quest and then talked about the fade and such.. and I'm like. "Noo. Don't talk to me! Don't use your accent on me, I cannot even flirt with you!"

Has anyone been through with a male Dalish?    I was wondering, does Solas only tell his romanced Dalish about the Vallaslin and offer to remove them?   Only I was thinking about the comment before the game came out about there being strong story reasons why he can only romance a female elf.    Now I get the elf bit but it seems to me that he makes a big deal out of the attraction he has for her being as a unique, wonderful person, with the physical aspect hardly mentioned at all.   It is one of the things I loved about him.   However, that being the case,  why couldn't he feel an equally strong attraction to a male Dalish who made exactly the same choices as his beloved female Lavellan?     In fact, if the truth about the Vallaslin is only available to a female Lavellan, it seems rather hard on an equally wonderful male Lavellan that they are left in ignorance and allowed to continue on through life with "I'm a slave" write large over their face.    May be I'm being dense but I can't see the justification for the gender bias.   Of course it is possible I've missed something in game.    Sometimes the conversations between companions were rather difficult to hear, particularly if we were attacked half way through one or I'd got a bit ahead of them.   So could anyone explain please.

 

Corypheus says it to any elf, whether romanced or not.  That's your reveal, though I suppose that depends on whether you trust what Cory is saying or not.  The downside for male Lavellans is that he doesn't get the chance to have them removed.

My boyfriend just started a male Dalish named Fen'Vhenan (Wolf Heart, I may have named him... ;3) with the intention of slapping Solas at some point, or so he tells me, hahaha.  So, of course I still hope my Lavellan is reunited with her Dread Wolf, but definitely loving the antics of this Fen'Vhenan!  He's a blaspheming warrior set on becoming a god himself.  The male inquisitor voice is amazing, by the way; the 1st one.  The pretty one.  I'm curious how the relationship with Solas will play out with a male Dalish...  (sorry  for the bad quality, these aren't screenshots.  They were snapped with a camera while he was playing!  I love white hair... :3)

I keep hoping for the dialogue option... "...oh yeah, you know things about elves?  Well, my ears are bigger than yours, so there."

Is Solas' second quest the one with his friend or have I been missing something entirely?

 

The first quest is the one with Mihris, the second one is with Solas' friend.  There's also a mythological third quest that's supposed to have something to do with all the orbs you can activate, but no one's been able to trigger it, as far as I know.

 

If we're talking about the second, I don't know.  I've never had trouble getting it.

Supposedly, according to the Prima guide, the third quest is a war table mission but never shows up for anyone. I have heard rumors that it might be fixed in a future patch, but who knows. I really hope there's some more dialogue included.

You know, I would love to see a drawing of Solas in Loki's costume. 

 

I mean from what we know of Elven Gods so far, they seem like Asgardians in that they are very powerful beings. 

 

Since Solas is given the label as the Trickster , that makes him the Loki of Elven Pantheon, though I suppose he is nicer that Loki is. 

 

So here is what I have in mind:- Solas in Loki's Marvel Cinematic Universe Costume. Complete with the horns and the scepter as mage staff of sorts.

 

Sadly I can't draw but I am sure someone here can.

TOO many things are reminding me of Solas.  Bioware, what have you done to me?  Even if my Lavellan wasn't romanced by him, I know I would still be obsessed with the character story -- I need closure, haha.  That unfinished mural!!!  The OCD!!!  Well done.

Of all the quests to be totally and utterly borked, it had to be one of his didn't it...

 

Yes, the one I was refering to was What Lies Dormant. Since Measuring the Veil is just a fetch quest, I didn't consider it one of his actual personal quests. From what I understand, What Lies Dormant actually has him taking you someplace and dealing with something. I don't want to look too deep into it until I can figure out how to experience it myself.

 

Some people have theorized that the failure of What Lies Dormant to appear is related to All New, Faded For her not appearing in the Completed Quests list after completion. And that that in turn is related to Measuring the Veil not triggering as a tracked quest, and instead completing after the first artifact (as opposed to 10). I dunno. It's annoying. Both playthroughs I have had the respective glitch with every one of his quests. :/

 

I have a save prior to completing All new, Faded for her. And no matter what I do to complete it, it never appears in the completed quests. It just vanishes from the journal entirely. I'd have to start over from my post CC save or start over entirely to try and get Measuring the Veil working correctly. If it is indeed supposed to be a tracked quest. Might have to put the replay on hold until it gets some official attention.

SO, when you have that fun cut scene with Solas, and he takes you back to Haven, you find out you are in The Fade the entire time (Obvi) SO, why can't you see The Black City from this dream? Is this an oversight on the writer's part, (totally possible/probable and I wouldn't hold it against them) Or does Solas have an insane amount of control over The Fade? I prefer to believe the latter.

 

I'm writing a chapter of fanfic that kind of relates to this, and I wanted to know what ya'll thought before I finished it up.

I think it's the latter.  That and if you don't do the romance dialogue, Solas says that the Anchor gives you the ability to dream with heightened clarity.  It's probably the combination of Solas's control over the Fade and quizzy's dreams being more lucid than most.

From what I understand about the Fade, there's a difference between the "dreamer's Fade" and the "raw Fade." You saw the Black City at Adamant because you were all physically within the Fade while awake; with Solas in Fade!Haven, you're dreaming and presumably so is Solas, so I don't think the Black City would necessarily be visible.
