[Sable Rhapsody]

I didn't see this until my second play through (like an idiot, I thought taking my more "presentable" companions would improve the nobles' opinions of me, so I took Vivienne, Dorian and Cassandra to the ball on my first run). Second play through was a Trevelyan, and I just about dropped dead when he almost hissed this line at her.

 

...I think that's the point at which I gave up on my Cullenmance and went straight back to Lavellan.

 

I knew that you could dance with your LI at the ball, and I figured he might not enjoy it but I was going to get my balcony dance.  Boy was I wrong.  The way he hisses the word "sex" had me blushing and gaping at the screen.

Finally got on with the last romance scene, for Freya.

My god. I completely overlooked his "pre game" role. That is amazing.
We are insane, no doubt, but there is comfort in this madness. It even gives us some wiggle room in terms of character consistency and how eagerly he reciprocates in the early relationship. Suddenly there's no troubling power imbalance at all. She is real in a way no one else in Thedas is- they are already equals. Lavellan may not realize it, but he does.

Okay is Solas is just anothrr player...

Hahaha. So it happened to you to. How does one write things in the tune of music anyways? I'm the kind of writer who researches and paraphrases psychology articles written by other people. I don't do 'art writing'.

Hello ladies (and gents). DA:I has dragged me from quite a long hiatus. Or Solas, more specifically. Your usual song and dance. Went into the game thinking to romance Cullen, got snared by Solas. I regret nothing. Unless this ends up like Thane, then I regret everything. I can't do that pain and disappointment twice.

I've been lurking the thread for a few days now, but since the 1500 mark is coming up and I saw a call for fics, art, song suggestions, I thought I would finally log in. I kiiiiiiinda doubt this band is to the taste of some, if not many, but the songs happened to come up on my shuffle not long after I finished my Lavellan playthrough. I was struck by how they seemed to fit, and even where they don't, I can no longer unhear the association my brain has made. On mobile and Youtube app irritates me insofar as making links to vids goes, so forgive the lack of links.

Songs in question: 'Hide Your Secrets' and 'With Second Chances' both by Silverstein.

Also, to whomever reintroduced Inner Universe to my life several pages ago, I adore you. How I forgot that song existed, I will never know.

To be perfectly honest, he steals everything.  That bastard.  I have made a male for Dorian or a dwarf or qunari lady for Bull or Sera, but then I'll make the damned mistake of triggering "Was that a serious question?" with that stupid little entrancing snort chuckle and it's all over.  Somehow my hands back out to the main menu screen and click "new game" and before I know it I'm running around trying to get Fade-senpai to notice me. 

 

Disgusting.

 

*Goes back to game and tries not to trigger the final romance scene so she can pretend this has a happy ending*

 

I think I have a problem.  And I love it.
