No removal scene if you're not romancing him, even as a F!Lavellan. It is romance-exclusive, and the only 100% romance-exclusive scene at that.

 

I think Solas should start a tattoo removal business if whatever he's planning after the epilogue doesn't work.  Then everyone, including humans and dwarves, can line up and get their face tattoos removed.  I can imagine many humans who decided to get a tattoo over their eye in their young adulthood may come to regret that decision.  Solas could become quite successful.

I can't help but imagine that all our party members are giving Solas the evil eye everytime he enters a room - after knowing what happened to Lavellan

 

 

Probably a matter of opinion and preference. My Lavellan is too private to get involved with drunken sobbing to others about a personal matter like that. If anyone DID want to rough Solas up and wonder WTF happened, she'd kindly tell them to act their age and mind their own business. It really is between them, and she's going to prefer it stay that way.

 

Though I can imagine Cassandra impatiently biting her nails at the suspense. I mean, that's the plot of more than one romance novel I have read. "He left me/We can't be together but we still love each other and WOE!" until whatever comes to pass and they fall into a passionate embrace once more. "Surely they will have their happily ever after like in the stories. Of course they will." *gnaw*

Reached the part of Crestwood where you wander in to the derelict pub and find that teenage couple there. Solas approved of my inquisitor's mocking of the unromantic setting. Really, Solas? Really? You agree that it's not romantic? I've been to that 'romantic' waterfall of yours. An abandoned pub is definitely more romantic than a place with creepy art and a pile of skeletons 

 

Anyho, I'm off on holiday for a week. I dread to think how many pages I'll be returning to here. Ha. So, in celebration of passing 1500 (and probably making 2000 before I get back  ) I have been Gif'ing ALL THE THINGS. Ok, some of the things... I like staring at Solas and my male Lavellan...

There's also a fair amount of unused combat dialouge from the various mooks in the game which involves the line 'THERE'S A DONKEY IN THE SPOON DRAWER.'

 

That has nothing to do with anything that's been said.  I just really like that line.

Wow, your dude actually has shoulders when looking at the Skyhold pj's from the back, and they look almost as wide as Solas'.  This is cause to celebrate!

 

Too bad from the front he still looks like he's ten.    I still don't get it.  Skyhold pj's are definitely fubar.

Restarting my game...again.  Made a white haired, blue eyed female elf mage this time. I image Solas as a black wolf..so my Lavellan having white hair is kind of a ying and yang thing. I called her Atisha again...peace in elvhen.  Does anyone else wait for those soldiers to cross the bridge in the very beginning before crossing yourself?  I want them to cross in safety before the bridge explodes. :-P

Male elves look so weird in that Skyhold outfit. I've seen my Lavellan with his kit off and it doesn't quite match how he looks with that particular piece of kit on.

So, I have a question....Does anyone have and opinion on what the Void may be? I get the impression that it is different from the fade. I was just reading the story of Andruil from the Temple of Mythal and was curious of opinions.

Just by pure luck, the first companion conversation I had after Solas dumped my Lavellan, was "getting drunk with Iron Bull over killing a dragon." 

 

It worked out very well for me, from a role playing standpoint.

I split my time between writing Solas and Lavellan, and playing Adaar.  I don't feel the compulsion to write for Adaar since apparently his life is perfect and happy in every way ><  For Solas and Lavellan, I need to work out my feelz.

As much as I want to see this man in all his elven glory, hobo apostate Solas still holds a special place in my heart.  Also I am done braving Tumblr.  That place has gotten very, very scary.

I like that the vallaslin removal is romance-specific.  It makes it feel more special, especially coming from Solas.  I don't think he'd offer to remove the vallaslin for just anyone, even a friend, but that's just my view of him.  I think a romanced Lavellan does something to him only an intimate love can do, and I think that's why he opens up to her the most and offers to free her.

 

I still wish we had more scenes with him... even just asking him questions about his artwork or what he thinks of the other companions.  I'm actually really disappointed they didn't have a brothel in this game lol because I would DIE to hear what Solas would say walking in there :3  Stupid smooth elf...

In any case I don't mind that they aren't Bi in the game, **** happens, no time, no resources. Plenty of hot gay guys I'd happily bang if they were straight but alas. Maybe in the future they could make that a thing. Maybe they won't. In a perfect world they would make Solas be into human girls too because my Trev def wants to hit that. And Cullen. At the same time. No regrets.

Tell me about it. I had put down the paintbrush for many years until recently when I was trying to find a way to make the game's wait bearable. I just bought a graphics tablet and I have been using it every day and it's all because of that  liferuiner dread wolf snowball.

I have all the guilty love for this fic, but TBH I have trouble seeing Solas and a non-elf Inquisitor being anything other than a disaster.  Or, well, this sort of thing
