Still trying to wrap my mind around Solas....I wonder if both the Dread Wolf and the real Solas share (in a sense) the head space? Could explain his reluctance with Levellan??
Solas is the Dread Wolf, they're not separate people.
I'm usually cagey of coming up with really concrete headcanons before a story is resolved; like coming up with LI headcanons before goetting the game, I feel like that's just setting myself up for disillusion. But I do have a few potential happy ending thoughts for Solas and Lavellan.
I don't really want Solas to give up his immortality or Lavellan to become a goddess or immortal; I think the tale works best with a bit of sad along with all the sweet. So they spend one lifetime together, and when she dies her spirit stays with him throughout all the long ages, until he's willing to lay down his burden of protecting the People and finally rest.
I don't mind sadness (edit: along the way). I'd prefer they leave the End up to the player though. My middle-ground is a happy ending like in DA:2 (together for now), where they do not address mortality. My happiest ending would be a situation where that is resolved and they are Together and it seems like they can be reasonably happy (Alistair/F!Cousland, Hakwe/Fenris, Zev/Anyone levels). But everyone has different feelings on it and it seems like if they get too specific someone is going to feel like it wasn't "x" enough. A lot of what people have said they want seems like kicking a character while he's down, while I'm sure a lot of my wishes seem to saccharine and sentimental for others so... just a general open ending is good, and I'll headcanon the rest.
I had a thought about the Well of Sorrows and Solas' reluctance for the Inquisitor to drink from it. He definitely hates the idea of slavery, his party chat with Bull and Dorian are enough evidence of that but there's something else too - he doesn't know what the voices will reveal to the Inquisitor, his entire cover story could be blown and maybe drinking from the Well puts people under Mythal's protection as well as become her puppet.

Just to be clear, guys, what I posted earlier is just my own dark sense of humor and not what I believe will happen, or want to happen. Get the angst and bad thoughts out now so they don't sting so hard in the future, right? 
Though I'd still rather have a set of really tough choices like that than absolutely nothing at all, ever again. I want to be fulfilled and have closure even if I do cry. If it's left ambiguous and we can decide for ourselves the outcome of whatever, I can go along with that. Anything but nothing.
One of the most powerful? I did that war table quest at level 17 and the staff was level 11 and worse than the grand enchanters staff I got from the hinterlands dragon..
It does like 109 DPS or something like that. For a level 11 staff, that's a lot. Also, the grand enchater staff I got off the Hinterlands dragon only does 90 something DPS. Admittedly, the staff's actual stats (like... 10% chance to blow stuff up when it dies, etc.) might not be as good as other staffs.

No, they didn't add anything. It looks like a recolor of whatever your companions and advisers are forced to wear when they're turned into regular NPCs at the Winter Palace. Here's what it looks like as an armor piece you can craft:

I hope I'm being paranoid here, but alarm bells just went off in my head on reading this again.
Can someone with access to the game confirm that this updates to "his" rather than "her" if the Inquisitor is male?
I'm terrified of the alternative, as it would be strong evidence for a suspicion that's been haunting me about Solas, the orb, and the limits of his power / agency that I desperately want to be false.

It does indeed say "his" if the Inquisitor is a male. I just checked my big beefy qunari rogue male's codex entries.

He's not nearly as upset for an Inquisitor he dislikes. There's a video somewhere in the thread about it but it was a while ago... Anyway he basically says something that amounts to "I hope you're prepared when you get what's coming to you" and doesn't go into the slavery thing to the same extent as he does with someone he respects/loves.

Solas starting off as "just an elf" doesn't automatically mean he wasn't always Fen'Harel. It would just mean that he wasn't always a "god".
Also, I thought the random "never trust half an elf" comment Cole makes was just one of the numerous references he makes to other media, or in the context of DA, a reference to someone being elf-blooded. Since that's all there is to that line (I don't think it's part of an actual banter that could provide context), there's nothing actually connecting that dialogue to Solas.

Then he'd be equally worried about Morrigan giving it away. She's certainly been around him enough by then, and by the sound of it there is no great love between them.

I was played and was like "NO YOU DIDN'T!" I would have listened.
Yes! I was wondering about that too. He said: "I begged you not to drink from it...", then went on about how corrupt the old gods were, but I definitely don't recall any begging. I would have liked to see this begging. I felt cheated, hehe.

Hello my fellow ex-lurker 
I believe at this point all we know for sure is that Solas is the Dread Wolf in some sense; I'm assuming that when he shows up again we'll get a bit more explanation about how exactly that works. There's been a lot of speculation based on how Flemeth describes her identification with Mythal, but we're not explicitly told whether or not it's the same situation with Solas/Fen'Harel.
So it's definitely a possibility, even though the prevailing opinion so far among fans seems to be that Solas and the Dread Wolf are more or less the same person.
Him not being worried about Morrigan or being all 'serves you right! with a quizzy he dislikes puts holes in my idea I admit. Nothing that can't be fixed with headcanon, headcanon fixes everything.

And yeah, as long as the uniforms they wear when they're turned into stationary NPCs at the Winter Palace is a unique outfit, like the Skyhold jammies, you should be able to find it and recolor it.

For those of you who make animated .gif files... what do you use? I have all of these videos on my computer that I'd like to cut up into .gif stuff and I have no idea if I need a specific software for it and if so what software that would be (you'd think Google would have helped but it didn't because I am a hopeless 24 23-year-old luddite apparently) (I can't believe I got my own age wrong)

Edit: Yeah, Cullen does but he gets naked in the game so that makes sense! Solas sadly never does.
