Last night I went to this place near where I live called Woolaroc (Woods, lakes, rocks) to look at the Christmas lights and they have a petting zoo. I am all about petting zoos even if I have half the animals that are in petting zoos (goats, donkeys, chickens). They had an adorable baby llama, though, and this adult llama that wanted to cuddle with me. They also had a baby goat that tried to suck off my thumb, a calf that tried to lick off my face, and a baby donkey that tried to eat my hoodie. There were even zebras though they weren't in the petting area so no exotic animal petting for me. Long story short, I can't wait for Pokemon Omega Ruby to get here so I can name everything I catch after a Dragon Age Character. A Solas Absol, a Skitty Josephine, and of course my starter is going to be Inquisitor. I'm going to Amie the hell out of them all.

That's weird b/c I was in a Solas romance when I flirted with Cullen during the chess game. Perhaps I didn't notice it. Too busy cheating at chess I s'pose.

Don't you just love how the Pug's lip is curling because of the hell he is going through wearing that thing? Pugs apparently don't like unicorn suits any more than cats like inflatable unicorn horns. whenever animals are forced to wear these things they make faces like Solas when he's drinking tea.

) I need a little assistance. I'm about to do my totally beta'd, 100% metagamed, canon play-through (A mage Lavellan, although I struggled long and hard over whether she'd be an archer or a mage) and I want to make sure that I trigger the "What lies dormant" quest. I've never gotten it before, and it makes me a sad panda. How do I do it? Do I just go to the hinterlands, come straight back to haven and talk to solas? Can I initiate the measuring the veil quest that way? and if I do, will it work around the what lies dormant bug? Please help- must... have... as... much... Solas... as... possible.
We're Solassians, BEEs, Unicorns and (lately) The Wolf Pack. As for What Lies Dormant, it's believed that the quest is very, very bugged. Its failure to trigger is possibly related to All New, Faded For Her not appearing in the completed journal and Measuring the Veil being completed after the first artefact is found in the Hinterlands, rather than after 10 have been found (unlike everyone else 'Find m X number of things I like' quests.
At the moment I'm having fun with my canon Lavellan (doing my second playthrough as her since I rushed the first one) but I'm holding off on the canon run until after the main bugs have patched.

Keeper Robe schematic is got from the level 23 high dragon in the Emprise du Lion.
Does anyone know if it's possible to have the male version of the robe on a female character? I hate Merrill romance armour when Merrill is wearing it and it doesn't do my Lavellan any favours either.

Ah, well. There is a little venom, but I think Solas has received a pretty good reception overall. I'd say he's definitely more liked than Anders, anyways.

I finally got around to making a human, then 5 mins later I said to her "I'm sorry, I'm just not feeling it, it's not you, it's me...or maybe it is you, I just don't know anymore"....and then I made another Lavellan...
Yeahhh... I'm having a hard time continuing... Can't make another Lavellan though since my canon one is the only one I feel comfortable romancing Solas >_>
It's horrible how dull the game became for me, I wanted to do 5 PTs and I don't think I can. I may leave it be until a DLC will be declared.

Sad I missed all the great Sunday evening discussions! I was too busy writing fanfic and playing my Trevelyan (Seriously, writing is cathartic. I wasn't able to play a non-solasmancer until I finished! I'm feeling better now, though I still can't talk to him much. It's better that he hates me. It's better this way....)
All of the talk about DLCs has made me sooo nervous. We are a loud and pleasant crew, but I'm worried that there aren't enough people who like Solas to warrant a DLC for him!!! pleeeeeease give us one pleeeeeeeease. I played DA:O back in 2009, but I wasn't part of any of the communities, so I don't know what the fanbase reaction was. Did people like Morrigan a lot? Was the Morrigan DLC a planned thing? Do enough people like Solas? I mean, they wouldn't just.. give us that beautiful romance with a cliffhanger epilogue and then say "Okay! I'm goin to lunch!" and never call us? Right?
I broke down and got Masked Empire on my Kindle and was reading it this morning on the train. It's very good so far!!

I don't know!!! I never go anywhere else but here. I see some stuff on Reddit, but nothing terrible (surprisingly?) i just thought that the most popular romances were Cassie and Josie, and Solas was down at the bottom? And two of my friends who play are like "Yeah, whatever, that bald elf guy."

Most people seem to like him, but the ones who don't seem to be very vocal about how much they hate him. I'm going to stay here. I suppose liking him requires a certain degree of understanding him, while some people have re-played with the sole purpose of achieveing that, others probably never will.

There are a variety of reasons.
Some people think he was using the Inquisition the whole time, making him "the bad guy." Other people think he's a know-it-all and that he's insufferable. People that romance Sera tend to not be fond of him, from what I've noticed, mostly because of the way the two of them interact with each other/some of the things he says to her. I've seen a few dwarf and qunari players unhappy with him because of his occasional casual racism. Some people are angry that he might have killed Flemeth somehow. Some people really hate mages; some people really hate elves. Some people think he's incredibly boring, even with the reveal at the end. Etc., etc.
Sometimes it's interesting to see what people outside the thread think of him, but you usually aren't going to get very detailed opinions.

Apparently you can even punch Solas (I saw the video but I don't know if it's real or not). He's just really opinionated, which he can be since he's the Dread Wolf! It's the romance that got me attached to him, so people who don't experience the romance just won't know how to love him,
