Some say it looks like  a wolf.

Some say it looks like a dragon.

Some see a sword in a dragon.

some see a sword in a foot.

Some see the events of Solas and Flemythal.

Some see the events of the final confrontation with Corypheus and his dragon.

Art is subjective.

Every time you comment I expect gold <3

:o Congratulations! I expected it to do a lot of noise.

Edit: I don't really want the DLC to be one the calling & its' cure. The Grey Wardens have been exiled in my canon PT, and no matter how much I love my fem!Dwarf warden I don't want it to be a DLC :<

I still see a wolfy dragon.

A sad wolfy dragon.  The shape of the dead dragon looks more like the classic high dragon (like Flemeth's dragon form) than Corypheus' dragon.

It could represent the post credits event, but I don't know how he could have predicted that.  Unless he was drawing that potential scenario in a typically grim and fatalistic mood.  If things had gone differently, the way he hoped, maybe he would have come back and painted something different.  It was still just a sketch.

Isn't it also possible that Solas just didn't want the inquisitor to tell anyone about the orb in order to keep anyone from looking into the issue further, thus finding out about Solas' involvement? I recall a banter where Cass asked him how he arrived at Haven when he did and he made some excuse. He just doesn't want his cover to be blown so he feeds Lavellan some bs about people already being suspicious of elves...

But he's not wrong.

WHY DOES MYTHAL NOT HAVE POINTED EARS!?

I assume because that's young Flemeth, an avatar.

It's hard to tell what's going on in the image, but I don't think it's Solas's pendent. It does not look like a mandible to me (and I'm a vet student, so I actually have a dog mandible here I use to study from... the body of the mandible should be longer than the ramus, not the other way around. Even stylized, I just don't see it being a mandible). I do think the figure on the left is a dragon, since all the other wolves in the mural look very different. But I'm not sure if the other figure is a dragon stabbed in the back? A leg? Whatever it is, I do think it's supposed to represent the inquisitor's victory over Corypheus and his dragon.

It could be Mythal defeating the false Tevinter god dragon. Solas does ask "what will you do with the power of Mythal once Corypheus is defeated?"

I get where you are coming from. I just find the lack of telling the whole truth to be kind of a big deal. From my perspective he didn't tell me what he said. He told me the convenient part of the truth.

The whole exchange hints that Abelas is mostly talking to Solas the whole time. When Abelas says "Elvehn such as you?" And Solas says yes, you can tell that Abelas knows a lot more. They both understand who each other are and are not telling the "outsiders".

Additionally when Solas confirms he knows of other elvehn like him, there is a lot being said with that. Possibly more than just Mythal being around. Or he's just referring to the locked away gods. Or that he knows of other elves still in slumber.

Fen'Harel and Mythal were probably some kind of friends/allies way back when, which is probably why Abelas didn't out Solas. Since Solas was probably a guy who worked from the shadows, Abelas probably thought Solas was helping anyway.

I would think that if Abelas knew who he was, he'd have said something more revealing when they're talking about Fen'Harel. I think he can tell there's something different about Solas, the same way Kieran can sense your ancient blood etc., but I think it's a stretch to say that he knows Solas' identity.

Jesus I try to listen to this with earpieces so I could hear better but I get the craziest chills, it's worse then some horror games.

Definitly saying "She speaks the truth"

"She's fallen off"? lost? "She's farther north"? Wat that part I can't even

I still hear "Go to him"

It does say "Mythal and Solas" at some point.

And the calling calling makes my heart stop, too much creepy noises at once.

I remember him being very touched by your answer if you tell him its a good thing he knows who is people are (evne if he doesnt tell you who they are). But its been a long time since I saw that convo...

The part where he is cute and sad is a flirt option after asking about his people. Here are some screencaps of the conversation:

It's cute how Solas approves when you flirt with him. Some of the LIs don't gain approval from it.

I'd also like to point out that since Solas isn't one for vocalizing lies: "I joined the Inquisition to save the world." But we all knew that.

OMG Yes this :)

He is making it pretty clear elves are not his people, but in a way where you show how much respect you have for each other and the paths you have to take (not that Lavellan would be less traumatized by their break up).

Is this worth not managing to help Briala as much as id like... >.<

I just played through the ending again and want to get one thing out of my head. It may or may not make sense, not sure.

So, the codex says that Solas was seen heading west from the place where Cory was defeated. Who else is (or rather might be) on a very important mission that involves going west? The Warden, as stated by Alistair (as far as I remember. I played this at 5 am, don't judge me!). Warden tries to find a cure for the Calling, and many people already mentioned a possible connection between the taint and the old gods / elven gods (who may or may not be the same or at least related. It's just so very striking that there were 9 elven gods, two running free [more or less], and seven old gods.)

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but maybe Solas and Warden are searching for the same thing?

If the DLC is about the HoF I will be.. upset.

HoF could be dead, it's kind of an issue asking people to play a game with a different world state from theirs just for that DLC.

It seems like I don't feel as nostalgic about DAO as most :<

I actually like the plot for DAI better (I do miss other things in DAO but I feel a lot attached to Inqi then Hawke or HoF)

edit: plus I am really selfish and I want Wolf Hunt

*grumble* That is the decision I have managed to put off making.... I have a save at the Winter Palace right before that all plays out. And can't make up my mind: Celene/Briala and golden age for Orlais.... OR more Solas flirting. WEEEEEKKEESSSS!!!!

Or solas plans to stop the Wardens somehow. We know how much he likes them, and its not because of the army or demons as much as because of their idea to get tothe old gods first...

I must be confused on the different endings you can get from that. I supported Celene and had Briala exiled and had the option to have that flirt with Solas when talking about Briala. Not sure if there's a way to have the two of them ruling together, as it were...?

I think the mural is only partly finished because Solas does not know how it will end. He has an inkling, which is why it is drawn in that way. He seems to fully expect opposition, as depicted with the sword and he must face it; it could also be a clue for the Inquisitor as to who he is, and what he will be doing. I do believe he wants to tell them, but can't, so he wants them to figure it out for themselves.

As for the wolves: in most tarot cards, a wolf howling at the moon symbolizes isolation, loneliness, and pain.

"The fears of the natural mind".

Lack of clarity — Tension — Doubt — Fantasy

Deception — Psychological conflict — Obscured vision

Confusion — Illusion — Fear — Imagination — Worry

Romanticism — Anxiety — Apprehension — Unrealistic ideas

I had my tarot read a long time ago, and got the Moon with a wolf howling upon a cliff with nothing else in sight. It struck me hard.

Its not just a flirt. Its one of the very few meaningful ones characterwise.

Solas is really written in a way where flirting often cuts you from actual interaction. I got the feeling it was meant that way, so by flirting, you dont get to see how way off the guy is. You dont get the argument about spirit being people, you dont get to argue about recruting the wardens, etc.

Its like Solas gets to turn off his whole 'my ideas are most important' and gets to jsut love/be loved for a little while...

/sigh how bittersweet...

He's approving of asking who his people are there.  ;) Amusingly enough, he approves of you calling out that he's being kind of shady about who his people are when he disapproves of you catching his court intrigue thing.

I wish I could advise you on that one. I chose to make all three of them work together, which is good for the whole Breach mess but not for the future of Orlais.

You can reconcile Celene and Briala. Find the elven locket behind one of the halla statue sealed doors and show it to both Celene and Briala and encourage the idea that they still have feelings for each other. Then get rid of Gaspard however you choose.

Any option where Briala doesn't have power (there are only two ways to give her that, I think, making Gaspard a puppet and reconciling her with Celene) will have the flirt option.

If you grab the elven amulet, you can reconciliate Celen and Briala, Celene will rule Orlais and Briala will get the Dales, things start to get better for the elves by the epilogue. So yeah, its hard to turn down.

At the same time, I always feel my Dalish is a little too good at the Game to feel believable, so I might go the 'trying for it but failing' way... thats the Solas way right :P

This is an interesting and lovely thought. I never really noticed this since I haven't completed a non-Solavellan playthrough yet, and I always take the flirt options.
