Solas is just so cool ... i didnt like him at first ... but then they announced him and wrote something about him and i loved it .. he was a must-have ... before him they released Cole ... i wanted Cole really badly .. but he didnt really fit into my firt party Cass,Viv,Cole ... and then Solas came out -> Cole,Solas, Cass ... and i was like ,, cas might not like them at all .. who do i take .. someone who wouldnt care that much oh grey wardens dont care that much it might be Blackwall'' ... but then again Cassandra is badass and cool and i dont know much about Blackwall besides what devs wrote ... what do u think, which party would be better - Solas,Cole. Blackwall or Solas,Cole, Cass?

I don't think you can go wrong with Solas/Cole and Cass. They are team Mutually Respectful Debate (or something close to that)! Switching out Blackwall could be interesting as they haven't really said anything about his relationship to Cole or Solas. Iron Bull could be interesting as well. Both with get along with Cole but issues with Qunari freedom (or lack there of) are said to cause some debate with Solas and Iron Bull. How heated would be just a guess at this point.
Solas/Varric and Iron Bull could be interesting if the first two are critical of the Qun or they could work though it and become a strange trio of buddies!
At least for my first time playing, (and maybe after as I do get stuck on favorites) Solas is a given. I like Cole and Varric but that leave no warrior unless I role one and I prefer rogues. The Solas/Cole and Cass combo will definitely get a try. Beyond that, it is really going to depend on who strikes my fancy. I am liking the sound of all the characters so I don't think I will dislike any. Though I have to confess that the 'Sera/Iron Bull are so funny' love they getting from the devs while ignoring the others is making me stubbornly stick with my lovely introverted party of Solas and Cole. I prefer my awesome to be understated rather in my face thankyouverymuch.
I find Sera's voice grating. I don't like squeaky shrill voices in women and I don't care for the Bull either, so I'll probably never have them together unless the game forces me to (being the first recruited, for example). Hopefully Solas and someone else will still have funny banter so I won't miss out on all the supposed humor.

I'm reeeeeally hoping Sera's voice is less annoying in the game, but the teensy ( ) bit of dev favouritism going on with regards to those two is wearing a bit thin by now. Even Vivienne seems to have dropped out of the spotlight at this point. I wanna see moar Solas, Blackwall, Cole!!

I agree with pretty much everything .. but one thing .. someone from the dev team said something about Solas and Blackwall having ,, kids these days'' talks .. which might be fun as well ... i dont know i kinda prefer Blackwall over Cass .. possibly cuz he is grey warden and i love grey wardens .. but cant imagine talks between Cole and Blackwall ... so ye first playthrough Solas,Cole,Blackwall :3

Glad I'm not the only one feeling the Sera/IB overdose. Am definitely planning on making Cole and Solas my go-to guys, as they interest me the most. I love Cass already, and I can see Blackwall being like Wynne, in that he'd be a mentor-type character, but less preachy and with a raunchy sense of humor. So yeah, it's definitely the characters I know the least about that I'm most interested in.
Although, Solas and Blackwall ragging on Sera might be kind of hilarious.
Plus, while 'fun' characters are, well, fun, sometimes they grate on me a bit. Also... my idea of fun is probably different than that of most people anyway... I thought that Felassen in TME was fun because he was just so unassuming and deadpan and subtle.

IB's voice doesn't impact me much either way. I was at least glad that he's not quite as.. loud/growly as he could have been with that size. Sera's voice is just awful for me, though. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. I can't stand it at all. That compounded with the fact that her personality doesn't seem to mesh with mine means she's probably a permanent bench warmer for me.

Hmmm well with my first playthrough I'm thinking about playing a female human mage or a female Dalish elf mage haven't decided yet and Cole,Solas and Cassandra are going to be in my party a lot. I will switch em out every now and then though.

Going from the info we have now, I think Solas and Cass will be in my main party (Solas for sure ). Not certain about the rogue. Right now I'm torn between Cole and Sera. Her voice kind of surprised me at first, but I don't dislike it.
On the one hand, I could have Team Mutually Respectful Debate all the time, with the possibility of adorable Cole and Solas interaction. On the other hand, I could see chaos unfold when I throw Sera into the mix....
I usually bring people I like with me, so Solas, Cole, Dorian, Varric, Blackwall and maybe Vivienne all have a shot. But, to be exact, usually I take my LI and my favorite non-LI companion everywhere and then just switch out the last depending on who seems the most interesting in the place we're going out of the companions I like. I'm hoping Solas is an LI, like most people in here, so probably he'll get the permanent LI slot on the run I romance him and Dorian will get it on another. Cole will be the platonic favorite. And then the third will rotate.
I have no idea who will be in my main party. Every single character interests me, so they will probably switch around often. I always play as a mage (I guess I'm boring, but I don't replay a million times - usually only a couple - so I play my favorite thing), so I will generally go with a rogue/warrior/mage split, in addition to myself. I suspect I will carry Solas around most of the time. And I'm not as excited about Cole as most people seem to be (sorry, but I get tired of the broody character types. If he's not, I will be pleasantly surprised). I'm sure It'll depend on the story of the mission in part, but for general stuff? I'll probably end up with whoever makes me laugh the most.

@Awkward Octopus I'm with you on not having a staple team. I am interested in all the characters as well so I will be cycling through all of them. Maybe after a few playthroughs I will find myself liking some characters more, but as of now I do not even know if I will be taking my planned LI (Cassandra) with me everywhere but all of the lost time with her will be made up at the keep.

After Empress Celenes concept art was released I couldn't help but think of Gwendoline Christie voicing her. It looks very much like what I've seen of her in Game of Thrones. However, that's my two cents now.
